He recruited one RB who turned out to be great. RB coaches require the least amount of knowledge and experience, that's why schools almost always stick the newest guy on the staff as the RB coach. There's really nothing that suggests he is ready to call plays yet. -

Not necessarily better, but definitely tougher and more physical than any big on the basketball team. Doesn't hurt having that type of guy on the team. Similar to Julius Peppers at UNC or Anagonye from Michigan State back in the day. -

Motivator vs Head Coach...
Discredit Chizik all you want, but he's won a national championship as both a coordinator and as a head coach. He's also been instrumental in North Carolina's amazing run this season. It can easily be argued that he's had a more successful coaching career than both Mac and Rhoads combined. -

I promise you no one on the team is here because they have a special relationship with Rhoads. Players are close with their position coaches more than anything. I haven't met a player in the past 3 years who said they or any of their teammates love Rhoads. -
