    No, ties are just that....ties.

Long before Tate to Holloway. Here's my take. They lucked out in finding Banks and didn't have a chance to ruin him. Banks could turn in broken play into 20 yards. Tate was a coach's son and knew more about the game than KF and used his knowledge to overcome KF's lack of. Stanzi was just a...

Hawks obsession with seeing Rhoads fired

More interesting, Fry actually had a 64% win percentage; had fewer non-conf creampuffs to play; walked into a program who hadn't had a winning season for 17 years with few recruiting connections and terrible facilities; and a brutual non-con when he first came. I won't even get into the offense...

Hawks obsession with seeing Rhoads fired

Lately, but not in the recent past. They want him ran out of town because they are finally figuring out he is a terrible head coach. If his offense wasn't more boring than watching paint dry, if he didn't continue to mismanage the clock, if the better players weren't sitting on the bench, if his...

"Ferentz teams always get better through the season"

There is a lot of fiction in re: to how great KF is. Three top ten seasons warped some of the fans' sense of reality. He is a .500 coach in the B1G. So all he has to do is finish 2-2 in non-conf to make a bowl. We see who they schedule for non-con. Of course, he often chokes against those teams...

Of course he has won a lot of games. He has been there 16 years. His average is SEVEN wins a year. His average B1G record is 4.27 wins and 3.73 losses. So yeah, not like he is a world beater. He has had more seasons where he hasn't won 8 games than he has. He is here, isn't he, unfortunately.

Yes And would not surprise me if KOK said it.

But part of that could be the fact that NP is no longer DC. All the game is to KF is a chess match. He hopes to eventually pin the other team on the 1 and hope the defense causes a turnover so he can win the game 3-0. If the defense is spending more time on the field, the offense has less...

Well mostly because our schedule has got to be the softest schedule ever put together by a DI school so some assumed we would win more games. Lot of personnel back at key positions, but yes we lost our LBs. I think there is talent. But as usual most of it goes to waste.

Exactly. But just curious, did you really expect much change with GD? KF is running the show.

And I of all people don't even begin to believe the center of the universe revolves around UI. In fact, I find it hilarious that there are people who actually think Hawkeye fb has any relevance at the national level. It is not illogical to think a coach who has ties to the state and the...

I am looking forward to where I stated Stoops was tired of the pressure. You are a fool if you don't think he would have more job security at Iowa by going 7-5 or 8-4 at Iowa vs. that same record at OU. I give you exhibit A - Kirk Ferentz. Stoops has taken a lot of heat at OU. Don't kid...

The only one on that list that I would support is Diaco. Maybe Herman.

HORRIBLY. Put himself at higher risk for making injury worse, reinjury and another injury.

Haha, what? Now I know the sheeple have been straying but look how long it took. Stoops would be retired by the time it would take people to come around to their senses if he was not doing well. The pressure at Iowa is not even close to that of OU. Iowa fans, much to my dismay, are content...

Actually you said HE hadn't lived in Iowa for 26 years. You said nothing about Stoops' wife. And there are several significant things that would draw the Stoops family to come to Iowa City. I went to college with the Stoops brothers and I know Carol. I am not sure why Cyclone fans think they...

That is weird. Hayden Fry never lived in Iowa at all when he got wooed to UI.

Oh, I don't think KF is going to be fired. And yes, Iowa can afford Stoops and his assistants. If the position were ever available and Barta truly wanted Stoops, they would probably dispatch Big Bucks Bruce and Kyle Krause to Norman to woe him. However, I don't think Barta would do this...
