    The reality is the programs at Iowa and ISU aren't too far apart. ISU doesn't seem to have depth most years and can't quite get over the hump. The schedule does not favor Rhoads trying to turn it around.

    No, the financial situation was vastly different when Commings was brought in. The facilities were not good. There was not much put into football before Hayden. Then it was decided to put a lot of money into football - upgrade Kinnick, the bubble, etc.

    You all should join the B1G. Be a heck of a lot more entertaining to have ISU in the B1G than Maryland and Rutgers, and sure makes a lot more sense from a fan perspective since the B1G was supposedly a midwestern conference. But I know, college athletics is all about the money and TV revenues...

    See post above. The eye test works well for me. I really don't give a rat's azz what happens in practice. Some kids are better game day players, and when they get in the game and do better than the starter, then maybe the coaches should be evaluating that.
