    All that stuff is awesome. Not taking it for granted at all. My only argument is that those guys played their hearts out last night, made their university and state proud and deserve respectful local media coverage. The other headline on their almost seems like a cheap shot by the register.

    Disappointing the brew-pubs didn't rank higher (Raccoon and Court Ave.). Locally brewed, fresh and unique beer should get them in the top 20 at least. It's not like their menus are atrocious. I kind of question the rankings because of this.

    Sounds like the start to a Jack-*** skit. Midway through a driving test with the DOT, tell the officer it's lunch time and ask to hold the wheel while you try to polish off a taco pizza.

    I just read that over lunch as well. That, combined with your personal experience makes me think I won't need to take the test. Dallas county's website originally stated otherwise, but I put more stock in the Iowa DOT information. Thanks for the info.

    I would consider paying an extra fee if they would send me a friendly reminder in the mail. They might be able to reduce the need of test taking materials (computer systems, etc.) It's not like I study my DL expiration date on a daily basis.     Not to gripe about it, because it was my fault I didn't renew, but what is the purpose of retesting? Does the state just assume I have not driven in over 60 days and that my skills need honing? Having to drive with a DOT officer after 1 year makes sense, but this seems unnecessary.
