    Do you know what you are talking about? The MVC has had three teams make the Sweet Sixteen since 2006. Bradley and Wichita State made it in 2006 while SIU made it in 2007. Not to mention our seeding gives us a much harder time to do so. Also, do people really think it is just coincidence...

    Heelan and Linn-Mar are there more, those are two schools that expect to go to state every year. Also, Linn-Mar is a bigger school than Ames, not sure about Heelan and Norwalk, but Linn-Mar has always been known to travel well for basketball.

    CR Jefferson is pretty bad at football, but they are generally pretty good at basketball and baseball. And if I remember, their softball team is always one of the best in the state along with Linn-Mar and Valley.

    Yeah, I wish there was a way to know as well. Obviously this site is just individuals, where as I'm sure the staff and players are trying to get corporate donors. I'm hoping if we get close they will let us know so we can try and get a final push in fundraising.

    Where is the argument from a son's perspective. The college male athlete is the one who is struggling here. Men swimmers, baseball players, tennis players, and soccer players have a much harder time than almost any woman's sport. And that is because of Title IX.

    Yeah, the Gazette sure seemed to be trying to create a big Kennedy/Linn-Mar rivalry when in reality Linn-Mar is about to be the winner of nine out of the last ten. Also, Kennedy's big rival is Xavier (Battle on 42nd Street) and Linn-Mar's is Jefferson.

    In the 3rd quarter. 44-21 Linn-Mar I think a Linn-Mar vs. Ames match up at state would be a great state championship game. Linn-Mar has unbelievable experience at the state tournament, and obviously Ames has a great squad.
