    We could've been better than dead last in the big 12 last year with last year's players. There is a lot of room in the middle between sucking and being real good defensively and a little improvement goes a long ways...it doesn't always have to be one extreme or another. I don't know why that is...

    We had much, much, much more room to improve defensively than offensively. It might've hurt our efficiency a little on offense, but we had plenty of weapons offensively and still would've been a very good offensive basketball team. I don't think that's debatable. You don't HAVE to suck on...

    That's fair. IMO though, when you have the 3rd most efficient offense in the nation, you should finish higher than a six seed out of 10 teams in your conference tournament...imagine what a difference it would've made if we would've been just a LITTLE bit better defensively? Could be talking...
