    If they did it with a bunch of scrubs that nobody expected anything out of, probably? If you hand me KU's roster I'm going to win more games than I would with Texas Tech's roster. It wouldn't necessarily mean I did a better coaching job.

    It's for the best coaching job, not just who's team does the best...otherwise it'd go to whoever's team won the conference every year. The best coaching job is NOT always going to be who's team has the best record.

    You thought this Texas Tech team would be around .500 in conference and headed to the NCAA tourney?..they have outperformed every single 'expert' and pundits expectations massively. KU returned nearly everyone from a conference title team and brought in a highly touted recruiting class.

    How is it an 'easy decision' to give it to Self?..What Tubby has done with this Texas Tech team is more impressive than what Self has done with this Kansas team. The award is for the 2015-16 season. It's not a career achievement award. The previous 11 years shouldn't factor into this year...

    People definitely didn't expect to be in the bottom half of the conference tied with a Texas Tech group that returns everyone from a 3-15 team at this point... We're looking at finishing in the bottom half of the conference despite having 2 Naismith finalists, the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year...

    West Virginia is tough. We are finesse...if we double up our performance from the first half we'll be the first team i've ever seen get blown out despite shooting nearly 60%.
