Calling all tweeters, bloggers, Chips latest...Miller PR Machine & ISUtoBIG10.COM

Lol, if Jane Goodall couldn't do it, I don't think you can, either. Unless you meant 'guerilla' marketing? But yeah, I'm all in. I'm heading to work right now, but I'll take about an hour when I get there, craft a good letter (I'm a solid writer, if I may say so), and fire it off to...

If some teams from Big East join big 10..

Oof, depending on who gets raided by the Big 10 or ACC, that has the potential to be a really awkward arrangement. At least if Baylor joined, South Florida would have a new counterpart in the "total geographic absurdity" department.

Some Good News For a Change (US Cellular)

This is why I love US Cellular, and why I went to a lot of trouble to stick with them, even though I'm living in parts of the country where they don't really have a presence. They have never provided my family or I anything less than unbelievable and unrivaled customer service. They are- as is...

Could this happen for Iowa State?

With all due respect, you are an idiot. You're right in that nobody seems to be thinking about anything but football, so having all of our OTHER sports teams doing really well doesn't help us much, but your statement is still so, so wrong.

    Nebraska to Big 10!

Nothing is trending anymore- Twitter has been completely down for almost half an hour now. It's been off and on all day, but as soon as the Nebraska regents meeting got over, Twitter died completely. Nebraska not only tore the Big 12 to shreds, they BROKE TWITTER.

    Conference Realignment Question???

I saw this mentioned about an hour ago on another site. Apparently if it happens before July 1, you start play in your new conference beginning with Fall 2011 football. If it happens after that, you start with Fall 2012 football. I don't believe anybody can pull out of existing 2010 football...

    The broader impact of realignment

Perhaps I just happen to pick every thread that mentions these points, or perhaps you both just manage to miss most or all of them. I've seen a prolific amount of discussion on every point listed above. It doesn't make them any less valid, I just see this as highly repetitious. But I guess if...

Nebraska Regents informally agree to go to Big Ten

That's it, I'm officially assigning this the #Big12MissileCrisis on Twitter.

Nebraska Regents informally agree to go to Big Ten

RT @gkketch (Geoff Ketchum, owner of Orangebloods) With the report from @ChipBrownOB that Nebraska will announce Big 10 move tomorrow, this is the end of the Big 12 as we know it. UT is gone. (3:42pm) Sources have confirmed that DeLoss Dodds will meet with UT coaches this afternoon to discuss...

    The broader impact of realignment

I'm so glad you posted this list! I was getting really tired of seeing only 17 of the 20 front-page topics saying all these things. Now if we can just start two more threads that repeat this stuff yet again, perhaps we can oust those darn Virgin Islands and Lost discussion threads!

Premium Orangebloods reporting Nebraska has accepted. It has begun...

Let's not forget Wisconsin, Illinois, and Northwestern- all within easy driving distance of the state of Iowa. The only bordering state that wouldn't have a CIC school is South Dakota...

Premium Orangebloods reporting Nebraska has accepted. It has begun...

Since you meant to ask, "What has the Big 12 done for us that the MAC wouldn't?", then my response would be: revenue, natural rivalries, competition in the same time zone, competition within easily drivable distances for fans, AQs to NCAA tournaments, excellent recruiting material (as mentioned...

    6-9 Cyclone/Big 12/Realignment Links

Woooooo Courtney Linehan! I seriously miss that woman's writing; she's excellent. Too bad she's stuck down in that northern Texas wasteland.

Premium Orangebloods reporting Nebraska has accepted. It has begun...

Yep- multiple news outlets reporting this now. They can't all be wrong... Hold on to your hats and glasses, this ride is now beginning. EDIT: Although, granted, many of them are simply referencing the OWH's breaking of the story. Interpret that as you will.

    Spain 2009 Confederation Cup Jersey

I'm looking for a place to buy Spain's jersey from the Confederation Cup last summer and can't find one. Granted, I have no idea what the big sites are for things like this. Can anybody help? Bonus points if you find one for #7 David Villa or #9 Fernando Torres.

Your hall director (Linda Garbisch) is AWESOME- she was a mentor to me for the past three years, and is a really fun lady. Make sure to talk to her!

B10/11 expansion...this guy gets it and absolutely nails it on the head

This is just the new trend in university research parks. Many large schools that don't yet have research parks are building them in this style, rather than strictly office/business/lab space like they used to be in the past. ISU has had its own research park (on Airport Road) for 30 years, and...

    MSU going hard on us...

Men's cross-country, women's cross-country, men's indoor track & field, women's indoor track & field, men's outdoor track & field, women's outdoor track & field. If I remember correctly, this was the first year that he has coached all of the teams, and all six teams did pretty dang well.
