    No matter the sport. No matter who's favored. No matter the outcome. The time leading up to Iowa vs. ISU is my least favorite week of the season. I'm always happy for it to be over.

    In this case, the "asteroid killing us all" moment was March 25th, 2000, when the MBB team had THAT loss to Michigan State, which was immediately followed by the WBB losing to Penn State on an offensive rebound putback with 12 seconds left. Although that was months before the bowl game, of course.

    Nobody on the coaching staff is following her on Twitter or Instagram. I do see she has an offer from Marquette as well as from some high-level mid-majors (Drake, UWGB, South Dakota among others).

    A loss would have been a shock, but this could have been a game where we don't put them completely away until late in the game. Instead, we knocked them out from the start and kept them out.

    They have had two home games, both on Saturday afternoons. Average attendance of around 400. I imagine having ISU there might draw in some extra Tommie fans, but being a weekday game might offset that. ISU fans will make up a significant chunk of the attendance.

    More random thoughts: One thing that strikes me from looking at the Tommie stats: they are really solid from 2pt range. They shoot around 57% inside the arc. Langbehn (their 6'2" player) is 74% inside the arc on a not-too-small sample size. ISU is 54% inside the arc, led by Crooks at 73%...

    Last post on height. Average ISU height (weighted on minutes played): 6' 0.3" Average Tommie height (weighted on minutes played): 5' 9.8" We average a 2.5 inch height advantage on the court.
