    What changes were made to the staff after the Super Bowl last year? I assume not all of the same coaches from that staff are there this year.

    Yeah, it definitely laughed in the face of academics. Made the university president from late in Jimmy Johnson's era look like the bad guy. It was an interesting look at a big time college football program, but in a way it highlighted everything that I think is wrong with college football today.

    I agree. That's why I think a local station is more likely to pick it up--if anybody picks it up at all, which I admit seems to be increasingly unlikely.

    This is true. Even the BCS National Championship is not a true NCAA championship. It's just the championship awarded by the coalition of six BCS conferences.

    Perception of the AP championship is diminished a bit now that the AP poll is no longer part of the BCS formula (they were part of the formula in 2003). However, people still pay a lot of attention to the AP poll. If they were to name a different champion, it would only add to the anti-BCS buzz.

    It would be interesting to know how many people who are now ****** about the game being on the NFL Network didn't realize that would be the case when they were pining for the Insight Bowl earlier this week.
