    Outside of the Sears Tower

Anybody ever visit the House on the Rock? I forget how far out that thing goes, but it bounces when you get toward the end.

MLB: Possible 2003 PED Positive Tests?

QFT. The names are already coming out, might as well get them all out now.

MLB: Possible 2003 PED Positive Tests?

None of those names would surprise me but, there's ten guys from the '03 Cubs out of 103 positives. I have a hard time believing that a tenth of the list would come from one team if steroids were really that widespread, but who knows.

MLB: Joel Hanrahan Traded to Pirates

That's a strange trade between two teams that aren't going anywhere this year.

    Butter Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson butter sculpture joins butter cow at 2009 State Fair | Des Moines Register Staff Blogs One of this year's Iowa State Fair butter sculptures will be Michael Jackson in a moonwalking pose. This is great because they can age him every day by shaving a little more butter off his...

Trading Zambrano: This Tribune writer suggests it......

Bradley is an OF and DeRosa is a utility guy, so one didn't really replace the other. Regardless, bringing in Bradley (and Miles) was definitely a mistake.

Trading Zambrano: This Tribune writer suggests it......

A player is worth whatever teams are willing to pay him. Z is making a lot, but like I said I'm sure at least a half-dozen teams would eagerly take on his contract if the Cubs were to give him up. That tells me his not overpaid. As for DeRosa, you're seeing a split in the Cub fanbase, not...

13 yr old commits to Tenn

Yeah, this isn't even close to binding. I'm sure there are a lot of middle school athletes who would say they're committed to going to a certain college. It doesn't really mean much.

Z sucks? Really? I know he throws tantrums, but he's still a pretty good pitcher.

    Johnston recycling question

I think they're saying this is the last week they'll pick up the old bins, and then the next time they'll pick up any recycling will be on 7/13 & 14 in the new bins. I'm not happy with this change. I had a good system with the old bins, I'm still not sure where to store the new bin, and I know...

Trading Zambrano: This Tribune writer suggests it......

I'm surprised that someone that foolish can have a job as a professional writer. Zambrano is probably never going to be an ace pitcher, but I'll bet at least a half-dozen teams would take on his contract if the Cubs waived him. Dumb dumb dumb.

MLB: Cubs call up Fuld DL Miles

I wonder if he'll actually get to play. Too bad he and Kosuke bat left; it would be nice to have a platoon partner for Kosuke while Johnson is out.

    Where's the sweet corn?

I think we usually have those roadside stands selling sweet corn by late June, but I haven't seen any this year. Anybody know how long until we have sweet corn? I'm sure the cool wet spring delayed things, but it's going to be a disappointing 4th of July without sweet corn.

UT LB Kindle drives car through apartment

According to that article, his lawyer said he was texting at the time, not the police. Somehow I think he was doing a little more than texting at 1:50am on a Wednesday. And the woman wasn't home at the time either, so apparently no one in Austin sleeps.
