No use in doing the game-by-game thing in year 8. He's either going to get things back on track or he's not. If it is indeed the latter, his days in Ames are numbered. If we see the same trajectory we did in his first season here, then there's reason to keep the flame lit going into 2024. -

Copium Time
Since starting 3-0 last season, we've gone 2-10. The program has stepped back 10 years. Here soon, the copium is going to turn to indifference. Unless.....the offense is allowed to play to their strengths. Just don't see that happening. -

If you look at the program from 10,000 feet, what do you see? You see a young, hungry coach that took a bad program to relevance and then had dropped off sharply. Well, Matt might just be on the same trajectory as Steve, but for two consecutive seasons. If the program continues to tank, he's going to have to do something. And nothing is more refreshing to a fan base than bringing in a new staff after the last one ate **** on repeat. -

If we have 3 consecutive seasons where we win 4 or fewer games, how do you let that slide? Fan engagement is already starting to waffle. Imagine what it'll look like next winter. -

Not really a fun game to play, but if this season plays out like it seems like it might, we're definitely losing kids. Talent doesn't want to be on a loser team. -

We're at the point of insanity with Campbell's offense. Just repeating the same unsuccessful thing, hoping for a better result. Rocco can move and sling the ball, but he's mostly handcuffed because we're supposed to establish the run. That's how you play football. In the 80's. -
