    Westin Crown Center in KC

I've stayed at the Westin several times, its nice, but no activity, and the booze is REALLY expensive. No place to go to drink. I prefer the Plaza area. Lots of sports bars, eateries and activity. The other deal at the Courtyard is where I will stay. If your over 65, you would like the...

    arnaud in 2010

Let's face it, AA is a streak passer, and has not been good much of this season. There is a lot of excuse making for him. -blame the OL -blame the receivers, -blame the injury etc. He simply is not good enough to carry a team, turns the ball over but is the best we have.

Better have a small buttox if going to Neb.

The bleacher seats have numbers painted almost on top of each other. We'll be there, but if you go, I hope you like the fans on either side of you. Has to be the worst stadium for seating.

We are two plays from 5-1...

Hard to imagine, but it's a fact. Two plays from possible ranking and 5-1. Oh so close.

QUIT pounding on AA, he WILL be THE difference-maker!

Here's some interesting stats: 2008: Austen Arnaud started for Iowa State the entire season. He passed for 2,792 yards, had 15 TDs and 10 interceptions. His Junior season is his fourth year in the program.

QUIT pounding on AA, he WILL be THE difference-maker!

We are one game from the halfway point in the season. It will be very difficult to watch the kind of quarterback we've seen the rest of this season, let alone into next year. In sports, if a player doesn't perform, another one gets a chance. Stars are made that way. I've been at every game...

Allen Bell is my favorite player..and singer!

My favorite play for the Cyclones the past few years is the Bell interception that was like the everready rabbit. He just kept going and going. The guy does have talent both on and off the field. Hope he stays on as a Cyclone. We need guys like him!

Is it time for yellow helmets?

We have not lost wearing yellow helmets over the past three seasons. Maybe it's time to bring them out for the Army game. Would certainly light up the stadium. They could be auctioned off, or worn on until we lose with them. What do you think?

Impact of Hawk fans on Cyclone Fanatic....

I have heard from an increasing number of posters and former posters on this site, that they are spending less time both reading and posting on CF. The reason I hear is that it is becoming more and more of a site for Hawk fans, and that it is no longer fun to post or read. I share those...

KF: Public urination worse than rape...

In Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz warped world of discipline, apparently public uriination is worse than rape for a football player to commit. Look at the facts: One of his players was arrested for uninating in public. He was immediately dismissed from the team. No meeting, no informal inquiry, no...

    Classless Hawk fans....

I wonder what percentage of hawk fans fit the classless catagory? My friends in Wisconsin and Illinois say it's a very high percentage.

    Arnaud vs. Stanzi

AA has the tools, now the question is can he get us to a bowl. If he doesn't show he can win, Tiller will be right on his heels. Stanzi is slow, misses some of his passes, and very good at handing the ball off. Just what the Hawkes need.

Who will be the "playmakers" next year?

If anyone wonders why the dropoff in this years football team vs. last year, look no further than the lack of playmakers. These are the players that really make a difference in winning and losing. Last year with Bowen, Meyer, Tuba, Bowen, and others, Iowa State had leaders and playmakers...

The Truth (with no dare involved) .........

I was once bounced from an Ames bar by 400 pound All American wrestler Chris Taylor. I did not argue with him. (true story)

Is it "Tiller-time" for Iowa State?

Who do you suggest plays if AA either gets hurt or doesn't perform? What is stupid about getting a QB ready?

Is it "Tiller-time" for Iowa State?

If AA doesn't perform, I say take off the Red Shirt and let's see Tiller's stuff. Next season is time for Iowa State to move to the next level. If AA is not the man to do it, then it's tiller-time.

    L J Needs Our Support!

Lenard Johnson is the best player on defense for Iowa State, and in my view has a great shot to be a pro. He's a freshman, who played quarterback in high school, and has made a tremendous conversion to defense and returns. He is a super young guy, and quite frankly I'm ashamed at the comments...
