Gonzaga to join the Big 12?

The biggest problem with the Big East though was that they had several hoops only members that created a voting block against the football schools. In our case, we would have 1 hoops only member, and likely one without full voting power.

Big 12 New TV Deal - Huge Positives

I don't think it will be egg on the Big 12's face at all. The P12 is selling their future to marginally win the bottom line vs. the B12. That tiny bit of potential 'victory' comes at the huge cost of exposure. Nobody watches the P12 now, and it only gets massively worse when most of their...

    Montgomery to Rams?

DM needs new scenery. They should have extended him last Spring, and now he just needs to move on to somewhere else.

    Poll: ISU -2.5 vs Baylor

In a game with such a close competitive/talent level, I will take the home field advantage to win out. Crowd comes alive and pushes ISU over the top. Close entering 4Q, with ISU putting it away and winning by 10 late.

CyTown Announcement - Monday 9/19 (Links in OP)

I imagine Starbucks or some local coffee shop variant would do quite well there with the daily commuter.

CyTown Announcement - Monday 9/19 (Links in OP)

No, but I have to think it would follow shortly after Phase 1, and once infrastructure is in place I can't imagine the buildings in phase 2 taking more than 18 months. I'm not a developer though, so I have no expertise to back this up.

CyTown Announcement - Monday 9/19 (Links in OP)

A couple things I noticed. It appears on the website that phase 1 should be done by early 2025, with work starting this winter. I wonder if that means the whole project could be done by 2026'ish? Second, I live in St. Louis and this gives me some 'ballpark village' vibes. BP Village by Busch...

am i crazy, or does the one open mouth guy look a bit like Gronk? Maybe that's how he spends his Saturdays now that he's no longer catching balls from Brady.

Heading to Busch tonight for the game! For some reason, the Birds tend to struggle / lose an above average amount when I go (3 of 4 so far this year). Time to change that trend.

So, Goldy and the triple crown. What does everyone think? I say he does it! HR will be the most difficult more than likely. Only 2 away from Schwarber, so it’s certainly within reach.

    The Wheel of Time

Personally, I thought the Sanderson books were quite refreshing and brought the story back to where Jordan had it before Crossroads at Twilight. Things were really getting slow and not moving forward. I thought Sanderson brought back and imo made it better.

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

I get that this argument is popular, but taking away competition is also important. If the Big12 can steal from the PAC, the value may be higher simply due to less desirable supply. Plus, stability should be part of the value calculation

I like the Bader / Montgomery swap tbh. Solid starter for a Bader that was good, but injury prone. Also, the yankee fans hate the deal, so it must be ok from our end
