Jamie Pollard's advice to fans for Cy-Hawk? 'try to be at the gates by 1:45 p.m.'

Gate one was an even bigger **** show than gate 2. Eventually left Gate 1 to go over to gate 2 with a relatively minor wait of probably 5 minutes.

I pretty sure different portions of that line moved at significantly different speeds. Were you far left middle or right. Got stuck in far left myself and it didn't moved but a step every few minutes. Like I said heard the band while waiting, heard the kick, interception, kick etc sitting in...

Because he is ultimately in charge of the event, although most minutia is delegated to some lacky I'm sure. I've actually run an outdoor event with over 100K attendees a day in an area not meant for that many people. You can bet I was constantly communicating with staff to see how entry/exit...

Can you walk there readily from the north lots, or is this a south lot only option? I'm in B-1 and it doesn't look like that would be very easy.

Jamie Pollard's advice to fans for Cy-Hawk? 'try to be at the gates by 1:45 p.m.'

You were very fortunate; others were in line still nearly an hour later that got there at that time. Saying I didn't have troubles doesn't help at all. Some didn't. It was random who did and didn't have troubles. I'm pretty sure the right side of the north gate moved much faster than the...

Jamie Pollard statement regarding ticket scanning process during home opener

i don't think so as I believe you could see a trickle of people walking up the ramp to the stadium the entire time. I can see how someone waiting in line, and then coming over to the east side would say the gate was closed as it seemed like it because the absolute lack of movement in the line.

    2023 CyHawk

Does Iowa really have 6 home games and 3 away or does the asterisks in northwestern mean it is at Soldiers' field for the daunting 5 home, 3 away and one neutral conference schedule. Correction I guess its Wrigley for some reason.

I thought maybe you were exaggerating. Nope, that is terrible. Needs to come down. Who thought that was OK?????

Hall was so good at setting up blocks like that, Montgomery, not so much. He just ran over people.

    Iowa Game Prediction Thread

Funny how a week ago, probably everyone would have picked Iowa. Don't turn the ball over or have a punt blocked and ISU wins. Otherwise, who knows. 13-6 ISU.

Post-Game Video after win over Northern Iowa 9-2-23

What? The only thing that matters is on field results of which he owns all the records at ISU. McCarney was a great interview, but not near the coach.

FYI - Screen shots will no longer work for ticket entry at games

There is a blue bar at the bottom when you have it set for tap I believe you swipe up. This is what the worker had me do before we even got to the reader. If you use the tap, do you have to swipe to your next ticket to tap it? I had to with the bar code.

I eyed that east gate line at about the same time. Eventually went over there as it ended up shorter. Good to know it would have been 50 minutes that way too as I regretted not going there initially.

FYI - Screen shots will no longer work for ticket entry at games

If all 60000 were as wise as you, would all 60000 have been able to hang out in the shade in the concourse for an hour, or would they have been packed like sardines in the concourses with eternal lines to vending or sitting out in the sun? The water lines were excessive most the game, the...

That was part of the hold up at the north gate as well when a medical golf cart had to bust through the crowd to get someone with heat exhaustion.

FYI - Screen shots will no longer work for ticket entry at games

So, failing to get half the fans in by kick off is your definition of success????? Getting there early doesn't mean you had it figured out any more than anyone else. It just means you decided to go earlier than the majority when the system could handle the extremely light load. When it had a...

Jamie Pollard statement regarding ticket scanning process during home opener

Airlines and TSA have also verified your identity at the airport prior to letting you in the final boarding area, and your ticket must match your name. Totally different as there is almost no possibility of a fraudulent ticket. Saturday reminded me of a TSA line at a large airport.
