    There was no up close replay of the ball leaving Gabe’s hands just replays of the ball hitting behind the backboard. In real time, it didn’t look like a block. Cortes was running at Gabe with his hand up but I don’t think got ball.

    There is a tendency on this board to forget that bad calls go both ways and players decide games and not refs. I am sure if OU had the same block as Osun, many would be screaming bloody murder that it was goal tending.

    He did get a bump early but if they would have called that, they would have waived off the shot. I would rather have the 2 points than the foul. The 2nd guy from Baylor took a swing at the ball but missed. Probably an okay no call.

    I am not debating it will lead to fouls. I get how basketball works and I like aggressive defense but there are times we play really stupid on defense. Kunz does on a regular basis.

    Agreed. Kunz gets 2-3 fouls every game because he has no clue how to play defense without fouling. Kunz gets a reaching foul 25 feet from the basket. Watson comes in and does the same thing. That is not bad officiating but just stupid basketball.

    The problem I have with blaming the refs is that the disputed call is always just one play. I assume the no call on the PI on Hutchinson is one of the missed calls you are referring to. The very next play Shaw drops a high pass that would have been a first down. That certainly was not the same...

    This is so wrong. If Matt Campbell thinks officiating is why we are terrible, it’s time for him to move on. Officiating had no impact on the outcome today.
