    Our recruiting is awful right now

    We really need an influx of JC talent. Anybody hear how the redshirts are looking thus far? I think we are RSing 4 JC guys this year: Caspers, Nelson, Young, and Givens. They should be comparable, if not better, than Alvarez, Parker, Williams, and O'Connell.

    Rashawn Parker

    Parker has got to one of the few players to ever start 5 straight season openers. It just shows where our D-Line has been. He has 8 sacks over that time span, and a quarter of them came on back to back plays in his first game. We need an upgrade at the position.

    I'd actually say that is way too high for both sides. I'd say about 5% of Iowa fans are students/alums and about 40-50% of ISU fans are students/alums.

    That's the way I remember it as well. I was almost sure he never started, and I know he was on the field for extra points. KO, Haughton, and Alvarez all got pushed into the starting lineup that year due to injury, however, paid dividends last year.

    Yep, that's what I was trying to put across, Reeves at corner, Benton at nickel. I think the staff thinks enough of JR to put him on the field in a starting role.

    Agreed. The staff has talked up Reeves quite a bit, so I think he takes plays the corner position more often than not with Benton in the Nickel/Sam. Play Tau'foo'u against teams like Iowa. We'll have to see what Givens' mindset is. I think the coaches said he was a 'center field' type...

    What a Storm!

    The storm hit St. Louis this morning as I was leaving to head back to Iowa, got pretty bad but sounds like Iowa got hit harder.
