I can't claim there was any skill in this shot... it was pure luck I was actually holding that flag while taking a picture with a disposable point and shoot camera... I took several shots this is the only one that came out. But definitely my all time favorite -

It does, but if implemented right it's not entirely a bad thing (hey, it's hard to make EVERY game during the semester) I'd hope that popular tickets like Kansas still go out via lottery, with priority to those who have attended the most games up to the point of the lottery. If CA had a decent prop that day I'd go get it, then return to the GA side where things were rowdy and we led the arena (including CA) in cheers and yelling. CA isn't completely evil (mostly a particular year of CAC) but it never was as rowdy as the GA section... even when we were better- Flag Guy

I made it from Maryland ***And agree with Al student section was by far the emptiest part of Hilton last night (only open seats around). I could be off but Im thinking it's not exactly exam time for most students. Weather was nice too... no reason to not make it to Hilton- Flag Guy

Hockey in Hilton? Ever happened?
Pretty sure it's been covered in the last 7 pages but don't feel like reading through it all... I remember hearing from some of the veteran stage hands when I worked at Hilton that the refridgeration on the West? end didn't work too well.... so they had trouble keeping the entire floor...- Flag Guy

It was sad to see Nebraska and Missouri go due to the looooooooong standing tradition with the conference and it's various predecessors. But they chose to walk away from that, this is completely on them. They made their bed, they need to lay in it- Flag Guy

That's one thing DC has going on.... 3 major airports in a 40 mile radius. If one airport can't get you there, good chance another will be cheaper... Assuming your final destination isn't DSM or CID (Seriously... I can fly to the west coast for cheaper) -

Because MCI is usually $150-300 / trip cheaper than DSM. Be it SW, Delta, AA or Continental, I will fly to MCI instead of DSM if I have a ride because it saves that much money. DSM and CID are the problems... Southwest can be cheaper, but not always. Usually pretty decent service though -
What was/is your major? and Was it worth it?
Materials Engineering, definitely worth it (though I'll be paying off the debt for a few more years) Got me a sweet gov't job working with something I found interesting as a kid. My job isn't as technical as I'd like it to be, but the pay / benefits are pretty decent, and it's keeping me... -

Depends on the year but I got there about 3-3:30 last year and I was in the back of Time Square. Word of advice? They close off various streets as the close off the pens they put people in... make sure to check for which streets you can come over on. I'd also start on a northern street working... -

Make sure you research this one. You'll need to be in Time Square easily 8-9 hours before the ball drops... there are no bathrooms, and there is no leaving then coming back. Once you're in, you're in. If you leave, you're gone. It's doable (I did it this last year) but you need to know... -
