    not really, recruiting wasn’t gmacs problem, retaining players was and that falls on head coach same for Phrom, young has been his only 4 year player

    I don’t disagree, but you could argue Fred’s success was partially due to TJs recruiting. I don’t want either, but I don’t think it is fair to bash TJ for his record as a head coach and in the same breath praise Hoiberg for only his success here and not looking at the big picture

    I guess I would expect more of an answer then of...Steve Phrom is still the coach of ISU and I’m the coach of UNLV, we’re both preparing our teams for conference tournaments

    agree somewhat - it’s an odd response if you are fully committed to your current position. I don’t read much into it for us... yet...but he certainly isn’t committed to UNLV
