    I had similar problems yesterday with malicious programs. I think they came from this site but not sure. Why can we not visit CF without this problem. I like this site better than rivals but cannot cope with this type of problem.

    I think Wesley and Brianhos are right on. Don't mess around with a possible ear problem. I have been wearing hearing aids for about 15 years and they don't work very well and cost a lot ($5 K for 2 and they last about 5 years). Go see a ENT Dr.

    Golf lessons

    Mark Egly would be one of my choices too. I have been playing since I was 12, but was having some trouble. He fixed me in one $30 lesson. He has a little different personality --- but he's a very good golf instructor.

    Laptop for college

    Lenovo Think Pad T series (not Idea Pad) is a good computer for non gamers. Build quality and ruggedness are some of it's features that I like. You can buy a well equipped one for less than $1,000. Lenovo bought IBM's PC brand several years ago. This is their version.

    Have you tried cleaning the air filter? Not a mechanic, but this has been a problem with my small engines when they are hard to start.

    Anyone ever have Vertigo???

    I've had positional vertigo ocassionaly all my adult life and this year my gp doctor recomended physical therapy. After about 5 sessions I was doing much better. Don't think I was completely cured, but much better. I may have to do some of the exercises more often. Good luck.

    I'm certainly not an expert --- just some not very useful information picked up along my journey. I did sit in on a couple of Marlin Rice's talks. He is very good and makes bug topics interesting. Glad to hear he's working for Pioneer.

    You may be describing the sod webworm adult. It flys over the lawn in the summer laying eggs that produce the larvae that cause some lawn dammage. They are grey to white in color and about 1/2 inch long

    Book suggestions

    I liked "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" and "The Girl Who Played With Fire", both by Stieg Larsson. As I understand it, Mr Larsson died before his books were published. There is a third that has been published and possibly 4th that may be pubished that I don't know the titles.

    The Engagement Ring

    I would buy at the place that you have the most confidnece in their quality and service. If you are married 40+ years as I have been, then you will probably not remember the cost --- I don't. I purchased at Joseph's in Des Moines. The wife gets it cleaned and the mounting checked almost yearly.

    Should I renew my CD or pay off mortgage?

    If you have enough saved for emergency purposes, then I would pay off the mortgage. We used to try to have 6 months in reserve funds in case of any emergency needs. It may not be the best decision, based on tax deductions to pay the mortgage, but I sure slept better with no debt.
