    Lazard vs Hall

I think Rodgers just isn't as good a QB as he used to be. He appears to be taking longer to make decisions and is not as accurate as he used to be.

    **** the refs

In a world where players are making money, coaches are making bank, and gambling is legal, it's going to be vital for long-term sustainability that officiating be transparent.

    **** the refs

This is ******** since he's going for the hit, not for the tackle. There is no shift in form in preparation for a tackle. Honestly, it's really bad form overall for tackling someone. The guy plants his right foot to launch into the ball carrier at as high a speed as he can. He doesn't...

    **** the refs

I think starting from a "what's necessary" standpoint could end up with rules drastically different from what we have now. E.g., a player may only intentionally initiate contact with their hands, arms, or chest. That would drastically change the game and account for a lot of "unnecessary"...

    **** the refs

We spend a lot of time debating what should be illegal. Targeting is under the umbrella of unnecessary roughness. I think a lot of time is spent trying to establish all the different forms of "unnecessary" roughness is in what is, by necessity, a rough sport. I think a more productive...

    Lazard vs Hall

Their pulling lineman was in the blocking lane because the packers had sent a corner blitz (maybe just following the receiver?). In any case, the pitch was most definitely NOT there and pulling and running was the right choice regardless of result.

Woah, I thought it was obvious Texas was getting games rigged in its favor but this is even worse

So why honor a whistle no one heard, wasn't "intentional" and was an obvious an egregious error? That's what's strange to me.

    **** the refs

Watched the replay again. There was one official who honestly wouldn't have had a great view who came in emphatically calling the fumble and announcing it almost immediately. It's hard to hear because the crowd was loud. Seemed strange to watch him run in so energetically to make that call...

    **** the refs

Just watched the replay. The call on the field was down by contact. The announcement after review was that the call on the field stands (NOT confirmed), but then they said Texas ball. That's bad.

***Official ISU vs Texas Meltdown Thread***

Following the game while out and about. Seemed like we fought well and had a real chance. Gotta hurt the players coaches to be close again. Seem to be making progress as a team just gotta get over the hump.

NFL: Cyclones in the NFL - 2022-23 Edition

Craziest thing to me is that David would be a huge asset to a team who actually has a decent QB. I hope he gets it at some point during his prime.

NFL: Cyclones in the NFL - 2022-23 Edition

Sooooo... during the Bears game the announcers pulled up a stat that said Chicago ran the ball on 80% of redzone plays. Looking back at the play-by-play, the Bears had 9 plays from inside the 5 yard line and David Montgomery did not see the ball in any of them. They did give the ball to...

NFL: Cyclones in the NFL - 2022-23 Edition

The bad TE pass came before the stuff of Herbert at the 1. The coaches need to re-evaluate their RB usage if that is how they are doing it. You HAVE to score the TD or no one deserves anything. It feels odd to say this, but the Jets coaching staff have demonstrated how to use two RB's...

    Ineligible Receiver Downfield Overturned

Does anyone have a video of the play that extends through the explanation/review?

    Ineligible Receiver Downfield Overturned

It's easy to blame individual officials for these things, but I find it largely pointless to do so. I'm pretty curious how the systems the Big 12 has in place for overseeing officiating seem to be leading to these doubly-wrong outcomes.

    Ineligible Receiver Downfield Overturned

Soooo... the refs made a silly mistake and instead of fixing their own mistake they made another one? Sounds like an adequate summary of bigXII officiating. I would speculate on whether the Big 12 officiating office is being too heavy-handed in their bookishness with officials who are less...

    Hurricane Ian's destruction

Pretty much. Mandatory evac means they won't send emergency personnel into the area until the storm is gone.

    Poll: Targeting Rules

Until they start calling penalties on ball carriers for lowering their head/shoulders into contact, incidental helmet to helmet contact will be a part of the game.
