    NFL: ***2023 San Francisco 49ers***

Gotta say, kinda feels like the officials are in the tank after the early trip/safety other than some real obvious hands to the face on O-linemen. Not sure the "chop block" called earlier actually made contact with the defender. A handful of really odd non-calls on rather clear pass...

Iowa: Purdy's kryptonite and C-Mac's "god mode" cheat.

That said, let's see how they respond. Brock has bounced back from ****** starts before while here.

49 O-line is really struggling this half, like they have against every elite defense. They can scheme around an elite d-line, but it is really difficult to do when facing an elite defensive backfield on top of it.

    ***2024 NFL Season***

Because their offense is lackluster. If their line wasn't so good at pass blocking and short yardage runs, they'd be bad.

Woof. The Eagles' sloppy play the last few months is finally coming back to hurt them.

They've been good every season. The niners have just been their kryptonite the last few years.

    NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

That's what is kind of strange to me about the complaints about the call: Toney had a good 4-5 inches of himself fully beyond the ball / neutral zone. In the neutral zone by your toes or forehead, no big deal. Beyond the neutral zone with damn near 1/3 of your body? That's too much to let go.

Yeah... that's not a good look if he is yelling at the line judge. It wasn't even close - Toney was lined up practically in front of the ball.

KC had a touchdown to go ahead called back because Toney lined up offsides.

7 states file lawsuit against the NCAA over transfer restrictions

That's lazy AF. If it's a monopoly, then action to break it needs to involve the entire system and consider where the money is. If State AG's wanted to put an end to this, they should be engaging with the NFL to create a viable alternative. The money to fix the problem isn't on the amateur...

7 states file lawsuit against the NCAA over transfer restrictions

Honestly, I think the players should be suing the professional leagues to change that, but I can understand that the NCAA is an easier target.

7 states file lawsuit against the NCAA over transfer restrictions

I think this is the biggest problem currently. There needs to be minor league football. All this stuff about paying players, unlimited transfers, etc., all becomes less important if there are viable minor leagues in place. No one gives a **** if NCAA baseball players get paid - if they wanted...

7 states file lawsuit against the NCAA over transfer restrictions

Competitive balance is very much a concern for the vast majority of the business world. There are many laws set to help preserve it. Non-compete clauses are a thing. Anti-monopoly laws are a thing. Intellectual property and copyright laws are a thing.

    CKLV Invite IS STACKED

My number 1 complaint as a naive viewer is how much stalling happens compared to how it is officiated. It's weird and I wish there was a better scoring system.

***#8 Iowa State vs #4 Iowa (Sunday, 2:00)***

I thought there were new rules that made it harder to stall. Is it one of those things where the rules weren't the real problem, but having refs enforce it was?

    Iowa State Jets

It's night and day the difference in apparent culture between the offense and defense. The defense is playing well and knows it. The offense is a dumpster fire and knows it. I doubt the Jets could get another QB had they the money and desire to because their line/OC look terrible and the HC...
