    What do you miss/appreciate about Iowa?

    Pheasant hunting as well as hunting geese, partridge, turkeys in the area where I lived. Plus deer and turkey are cornfed in Iowa compared to the scrawny acorn fed stuff here. I miss the river fishing too, all the late night fishing for the big cats. I miss fishing on the Iowa Great Lakes too.

    If you were really serious about attending that particular game you could fly into XNA (regional) here in NW Arkansas and be less than a half hour from Fayetteville. Prices of flights for a regional could be a factor though.

    That's great news! Hope it continues to go well for him. I'm actually going in for a bone scan a week from Wednesday. Fingers crossed, that one comes back clean.

    My son just sent me that same article. Very interesting. I just got diagnosed with cancer so my mind is open to anything and everything right now. I would love to avoid surgery and radiation if at all possible.

    I bought mine at Walmart, Reynolds Kitchens pink butcher paper. Even says "perfect for smoking" right on the box. I'm still kinda new to it so as of now I don't have any insight on what to avoid. The paper will saturate to some extent though so I wrap it generously once I've reached that point.

    Tried something a little different yesterday and smoked a corned beef that I had in the freezer. Went with a dry rub, smoked it to 160 and then wrapped it in butcher paper and back in the smoker until the temp reached 205. Then wrapped it in a towel and threw it in a cooler for 2 hours.     OLED TV worth it?

    Count me in with the "totally worth it" crowd for OLED. I got a 65" LG OLED about a couple months ago and it blows everything else I've had out of the water.
