UK is going to be tough to beat

I wish ISU could afford that.

    It's amazing.

Dude, seriously. If ISU was in the Sweet 16, I guarantee no person would give 2 craps about UNI. And, people would be absolutely drooling over McDermott. Unfortunately, ISU can't even win half their games, so we need something to cheer about.

    Water shut-off sidewalk

The thread title says it all: water shut-off.

Toughest schedule since I was born ('85)?

This is actually one of the only posts I've read that makes sense in support of McD and gives some sort of hope. You actually back it up with tangible things and it makes sense, not just "McD will be here for a long time, get used to it." Still not re-upping my season tickets (quit 2 years...

    New Assistant

I have one priority: win. If that guy is a recruiter, great. If he is a hypnotist, great. If it is a young dude, old dude, black dude, white dude: don't care. Just want someone that will get us to winning games.

    RIP Big Earls!

Yes, I cried when I heard the news. All these stories have such a range of emotion for me--laughter, sadness, fear. I can remember one dude 'losing' his Chicago Bears tie on his birthday. You just don't see that anymore.

List of Those Who Have Left, Left Early, Or Were Asked To Leave

I think his contract gets extended when we lose scholarships due to APR. So, he's actually creating more job security for himself.

Problems with a Mole in Backyard

I feel like this is a pretty easy question for me to answer. I think I could be attacked by PETA for the number of moles I've killed on our acreage. I've killed them by the following methods: poison, smoke, shotgun (only 1, and that was a close range 12 guage), and traps. By far the most...

    Let's end some myths

I'm also trying to understand this, but apparently I just don't have any 'knowledge of NCAA basketball and home court advantage.'

    Let's end some myths

To answer your question: no. I am only trying to figure out your argument. Anyway...you're counting the games we lost as 'toss-ups', not games we shouldn't have won. Were there any 'toss-ups' that we won?

    Let's end some myths

Thing is, we are really 11th. If we were really a 9th place team, we would have beaten Texas Tech and Oklahoma. We didn't, and you said we didn't lose to anyone we were suppsoed to beat, so we're the 11th place team. That's right where you had us pegged at the beginning of the year?

    Let's end some myths

So you're saying you think we were the 11th best team in the conference this year, and we didn't lose any games we were supposed to win?
  14. cyco2000

    Miller & Deace, Absolutely.

I don't think consistent losing is a good way to go. Drake had consistency in Kanaskie. K-State had consistency with Woolridge.

    Let's end some myths

Don't you improve by beating teams? I don't care if we're better or worse on paper, I just want to win. I think you and I generally agree. You just have a lot more patience than I do! What was this thread about again.......

    Let's end some myths

Really? I certainly understand more of where you're coming from now. You just said that you don't care if we ever improve. The only way to get better is to beat teams that 'are better than us'. Otherwise, all those teams are better than us.

    Let's end some myths

I agree with a lot of your posts, but this one is really out there man. Are you friggin serious????? I would trade a loss to Iona for a Kansas win any day of the year, and I would sure as hell hope any Clone fan would, too. You're saying you'd rather have a crappy non-confernce win vs. a...

    ISU v. Ranked Opponents

Is this true for non-conference schedule only? Because that's the only thing that coaches can control. I don't think that is the case.
