Tracking games played by the true freshmen
Ive tried to zero in on him when I rewatch the games. He seems always fill a hole that the running back doesn’t choose and then ends up chasing from behind all the time. Maybe thats his assignment or something but he rarely seems disruptive or a factor at all. -

This probably isn’t going to age well….
I think i would take the 3-0 non con just so we would have the W over Iowa and avoid the shame of the Ohio loss. And then a win vs OSU but losses to Cincy, TCU and Oklahoma. I realize the conference wins mean more, but the Iowa and Ohio losses cut deep. -

I’ve got a good video of my son yelling at the RB to sell the fake handoff better or else the defense wont believe that we’re running it. Unfortunately he also tells the refs they suck. So he listens WAY too closely to me during cyclone games. Lol -

Are you guys seriously blaming Brahmer and Sama for not understanding the offense well enough as the reason why we couldn’t be more creative on offense against Iowa and Ohio? Come on. Dont be ridiculous -

My sons first grade flag football team ran more play action passes than we did week 1-3. Not even joking. Our starting lineup on offense included 0 true Freshmen during those games. Trying to say that we didnt run any misdirection, counters, or play action because our team didnt have them... -
The Coaching Turnaround Has Been Drastic
Yeah and that was the same drive that Dean got in the way of Nortons TD run. So we really needed to finish that one to avoid not feeling like we left points on the table. -

The offense should have started with play actions, bootlegs, and counters on week 1, let alone by week 3. Freshmen or not, D1 players should know these concepts. Not using them is a failure by the coaching staff. -

Campbell deserves the props. Ohio was a definite low point, but he made the changes needed to turn it around. He does need to reflect on why the team underperforms every year in the non conference part of the season and make changes going forward -
