    70-68 ISU is right where the metrics have it, although this feels like a game where both offenses struggle - just a physical rock fight where there's no easy baskets (but probably a large number of FTs), ending more like 60-58.

    Speaking of NET, there are now only 6 schools that only have Q1 losses: 1) Houston (Q1: 7-3) 2) Purdue (Q1: 8-2) 18) Dayton (Q1: 3-4) 19) San Diego St (Q1: 3-6) 20) Indiana St (Q1: 1-3) 31) Florida (Q1: 2-7) We'd be there too, except VaTech has gone to hell and fallen to #62.

    The fact that he completely changed his style of play from SDSU and UNLV is the part that amazes me the most. And yes, I think Coach Green is a huge part of that - a great hire and amazing that TJ bought in on the defensive scheme and focus.

    Agree completely and the other thing I would add to that list is forcing turnovers that aren't counted as steals - taking charges, forcing travels, knocking the ball out of bounds off the opposing player, etc. I wish there was a tracked stat for "forced turnovers" in addition to steals.

    Love these style charts - especially when there's an arrow from ISU pointing to "last 5 national champs". Many such charts this year are pointing to us having the "right mix" of offense and defense to be very successful

    And they aren't that bad at rebounding - they get some offensive rebounds. They just can't shoot. They hold opponents to 40% FG - which is quite good. But they also shoot 40% from the field (and 64% from the FT line), which is very bad.

    Yeah, I would guess Jones/Ward will be on Mitchell and King will guard Disu. I would also worry about Jones/Ward rotating out to Disu on the perimeter.
