    Seems to be some info swirling on possible assistants

    I was wondering if any left-over coaches would stay on board after talking to GC. I had heard Chris Ash & Tony Alford were good recruiters, but haven't heard anything else. So if anybody knows anything, please post. Thanks...HITMAN

    Recruiting prediction

    I think Gene will be the equivalent of Greg McDermott in recruiting...I could not be more pleased, I bet he gets some kick-*** asst. coaches to boot and they will produce in recruiting. Next year might be rough with the schedule, but I really think Gene will win... I also hope Dan gets a job...

    CMU attepting to keep Kelly with new contract offer.

    Agreed!!! We need a solid AD who demands and expects more...The only thing I want in a Coach is that he recruits like crazy...The better athletes you get, your team will get better, ISU was horrible in the trenches this year, no depth and a killer schedule plus injuries, I am liking Kelly more...

    Is JP talking to the best NU assistant?

    Agreed, while Norvell has a long resume and has ''been around,'' I am NOT sure how he recruits, and face it, that's what we need the most. I have read where he was not real popular here earlier. So why in the hell is he on the so called short list...I think he would NOT be the best choice at...

    Yeah, Trev Alberts would be a good fit: He grew up in Iowa, played for the Bugeaters, was a BUST at Indy and now wants to coach but make sure he gets his meds daily and his white/straight jacket so he doesn't hurt anybody when recruits make fun of his hair...HITMAN

    I just read on ISU Rivals that Jay Norvell is the front man...Sorry, I can not get excited about him. He has no Head Coaching experience but does have ties with Pollard at Wisc.     I went to the CU-ISU game to really see how ISU would play. After CU scored, ISU just gave up. I sensed that it was, indeed, time for Coach Mac to move on.
