everyone gets an extra year not just seniors
So does it work like this?:
if you get 5 seniors that stay this year - you get 5 extra scholarships. But if 10 decide to stay next year you get 10 extra. it’s gonna be a four year process to wash out.
Maybe it’s youth and roster balance but the Issues the last few years:
1) No shooters
2) every year the preseason talk is about emphasizing defense but every year the team is not good at defense.
In big 12 play, Iowa State’s special teams have been a net positive.
Bad
OSU - 2 missed field goals - lose by 3
Good - do we win these games without:
OU - Kene KO return
Baylor - Kene KO return and blocked punt
Texas - stopped a fake punt
UofM is laying off and may take losses up to a Billion dollars - not good optics buying out Harbaugh and a new coach from their old school. Harbaugh may also get an extra year of eligibility due to Covid.
Thought I read someplace that the stars will be less meaningful this year. A lot of the big time AAU tourneys were canceled so there was not a lot of or any chances for the player to be seen and rated.
It sometimes seems like people are only listening to the Infections disease experts and not listening to the mental health experts (also with advanced degrees). I worry that when all the fallout from this is over - Mental health issues are going to cause more harm to the school age children...
Does anyone have parking passes yet? I haven't seen an email on parking in awhile, but I thought they were going to assigned this year to spread everyone out.
I read someplace that the US is going to buy 100s of millions of doses of several of the promising vaccines before trials are completed. They will be ready to go when/if they are approved.
ISU does a great job - no argument. Just pointing out that money can be set aside. With that said - even with a nice "Rainy Day" fund I doubt any athletic department in the country has enough set aside to cover a years + expenses with no income.
When did flattening the curve to not overwhelm hospitals become how many new cases there are. Testing is up - a lot- and the positive rate for test has gone down since April. So, I guess my question is: are there really more cases out there, or are we just finding more now?
8 wins if lines play is average to above average
6 to 7 wins if the lines are on the below average side
9 wins if the lines surprise to the upside (and a better turnover +/-).
Probably lose a game or two we shouldn't and win and game or two we shouldn't.
