Armageddon is over-the-top, loud and silly but I had fun watching it (I didn't want to or need to use my brain once for the entire movie). "Don't Want to Miss a Thing" is right up there with "Don't You Forget About Me" for songs that perfectly define a movie (or however it's described in Pitch...

I can't get over the ham-fisted preachiness. I guess I should simply see that as comedy too.

Yes. Agreed. But looking at Diane Lane for 2 hours during that movie redeems it a bit in my eyes. Sorry. I am a horrible person.

I liked Lost in Translation but I can see why people don't (my wife hated it). I just thought that the dialogue was pretty clever and the bond between the two was kind of unique. Also, we were fairly new homeowners at the time and I could totally relate to the scene where his wife sent him all...

This one surprises me. I know that not much happened but I just felt like they created a really creepy setting that kind of kept me on edge for most of the movie.

I thought the same. It wasn't meant to be Schindler's List but it was pretty good.

We referred to it as The Boring Patient. We also referred to The Crying Game as The Boring Game.

Are there any players on your team this year that you believe would belong on ISU's all-time roster? (Crosspost from reddit)

I don't think Dan Johnson was a great college tight end. Like Gibson, he was better as a pro. Bruce Reimers does certainly belong on the o-line. That was a good one. Maybe, Gene too, but he was a little inconsistent. Really fun guy though. Mike Busch was s terrific tight end and probably should...

I feel like Dennis Gibson was better as a pro than in college. He was very good in college but he turned out to be a better pro than anybody expected.

Good list but here is what I would change: Krepfle as a TE Karl Nelson as a T Mike Stensrud as a DT Jeff Braswell had the best single season for a LB. Chris Washington could be added here too. Luther Blue and Tracy Henderson could be in there at WR. I'm not going to dispute your choices though

Refs Bad- Iowa Declared WBB National Champ

I'm not totally disagreeing. Iowa did outplay them and Bluder did put together an effective gameplan. However, that was probably the only night of the year that Iowa was going to beat them.

Refs Bad- Iowa Declared WBB National Champ

Iowa beat South Carolina because South Carolina played the absolute worst that they could possibly play. I really don't mean to take anything away from Iowa. It's to point out the fact that the only way South Carolina was going to lose was to beat themselves.
