Does Monte lack confidence in his shooting?

Actually 15 ft is about as far as I like seeing BDJ shooting. He has hit some threes. But 15 and in seems to be where his shot works best.

*** Official TCU vs #15 IOWA STATE Game(day) Thread ***

McKay didn't seem quite himself today either. That is what is pleasing about where we are now. People can have off days - we still have people to pick things up and win going away.

Top 5 Favorite ISU Basketball Victories

Seems like Ronnie Harris was still in. Barry had fouled out. Whoever was playing center had fouled out - David Moss at that point I think. Sam Hill was not here yet I don't think. Whatever we did not have a true center playing at the end of the game.

I think they were both play the back line on the 2-3 zone near the end, too.

Top 5 Favorite ISU Basketball Victories

Not Grayer - he was not here yet. ISU fouled out several. Ended up playing a 2-3 zone with tallest player on the court was 6-5. Not sure how we were able to pull that one out. Iowa had a vaunted front court with the "twin towers". Agreed that it helped provide us relevance in the state and...

    Hand-check by offensive players

There is some of this that occurs regularly yes. I have been noticing some players doing it more consistently even 30 ft from the basket with their arm fully extended. My argument is not a yes or no that it is right or not - simply seeming to see some more people using their arm more fully...

    Hand-check by offensive players

Wonder if the idea is that having your arm at your side and then extending it to clear some space with the defender may get a call. Having it out already extended may not have the same "look" of a push-off while still gaining an advantage.

    Braketology - 1/19/15

If we are somehow able to keep 8 in, 1-2 are going to be on that edge just because of numbers and having a fairly large number of losses. Part 2 is the conference is breaking down again with the poor non-conf performer at the top (KSU) and a couple good non-conf performers lower in the conference.

    Whar Edozie?

I thought this, too. Yes, we were limited on offense. But we were getting killed on the boards.

    All-time defensive players

Justice had an odd shot, but he was very streaky. When on, look out. Watch the 2nd half of the Oklahoma State game in 1992 (3?).

    Hoiberg ratcheting up those wins

Yes, Johnny's teams were weak on the road. No question. That was what we hoped for every year. Win out at home and steal something on the road. Remember the Big 8 was no piece of cake then either. Hope for a win at Colorado or Nebraska or sneak one somewhere. And yes Johnny had some down...

BIG 12 continues to distance itself...

There was a year back in the 90s where Purdue got one of the number 1 seeds that people were questioning them being the first 1 to lose. There were another 5 or so Big 10 teams. Maybe one survived the first round and no one made it out of the first weekend. Someone help me out on the year?

    enCYCLONEpedia: Cyclone Pick & Roll

How many times did you see that last year with Kane and Niang? With the two of them it was tough to defend because of size, driving and shooting ability.
