    Liberty Bowl Tailgating?

    Pollard told me that the Liberty Bowl Parade starts at Beale Street at 3pm on December 30th (ISU Band, Cheerleaders and Team part of this event). PEP rally at 5pm. Game day rally at the stadium. That is all I know for now.

    According to Jamie Pollard there will be a Liberty Bowl BBQ cook off prior to the game and ISU will do rally at that time. May just want to pack some beers to bring along and just eat some great BBQ!Keep it simple that's what we are planning on doing. Also heard they serve beer in the stadium...

    We booked rooms at Courtyard at Marriott in Germantown for $124 night 2 queen beds per room.

    Courtyard at Marriott in Germantown, TN. It is about 9-10 miles from Liberty Bowl in a safe neighborhood (compared to downtown). Rooms in the $115-$125 range.

    Have a 2002 9-3 convertible and love it. Only a few small issues regarding repairs but what car doesn't have a few issues. Either go to Meyer, IA SAAB or local mechanic to get repairs.     Beer suggestions

    Would agree that something like a Newcastle Brown Ale would be best. This beer has a smooth flavor with just a little bite. It won't shock the Coors Lite people at your party. This beer will be perfect with Goat (which tastes like chicken. Right?):confused:

    London/Paris travel advice

    When I went to London and Paris with my family my 3 favorite things were the open bus guided tour of London, the Tower of London and the dinner cruise on the Seine River (even saw the minature Statue of Liberty on the river). Very fun trip no matter what you end up seeing!

    A student friend of mine from our local community college is heading home to northern Scotland for the summer with a full compliment of Iowa State clothing. I took him to a couple of men's games at Hilton this year and he is hooked! Can't wait to hear what people from there think about his ISU...

    We were picked 8th in men's basketball! Point is that these so called "experts" don't know any more than you or me on where we will finish! Just trust coach to over achieve as usual.
