Duels do mean something, but not more than wasting a redshirt this late or getting a top 5 wrestler hurt!! And for the record most teams in the top 10 do not have the circumstances that we do at ISU with both 133 lbs getting hurt so late. I think Cael is looking into the future of the team as... -

We don't decide to give forfeits, we didnt have anyone to wrestle that weight. And we did have depth at one time and the backup 133 lbs got hurt and is no longer with the team. And as for Iowa plucking a guy in there, they were both redshirt juniors. You don't just waste a kids redshirt year... -

There are 2 True freshman at 125 that could step in to take clarks spot but they would have to burn their redshirt. There is also one true freshman at 133. I do not think that they want to burn any of their redshirts just to fill in for a few weeks. We just need to be patient while fanny gets... -

Im not going to mention any names yet, but there is a kid trying to walk on right now as kicker for ISU. He played two years at Kansas, he redshirted and sat on the sidelines his frosh year. He left and sat out last year. He already knows how to kick off the ground and can boot the ball on kickoffs. -

We used to wrestling Creston back in the day and remember when Long was a frosh and would weigh in, He would only way in at like 86 pounds! So i think if he would of been at weight his frosh year he couldve been a four timer. -

Why stars don't mean anything
I was reading about how they judge four stars and three stars and they said most of the 3 stars could be four stars and the two stars could be three stars. They just cannot have over half the class being 4 star recruits. They are kind of grading these rankings on a curve. 10- five star players... -
