    Red Light Camera

    Are you sure about that? I'd think the pictures and video of the car running the red light would be all the evidence the city would need to show that the camera was working.

    It was a lot busier than I expected. I thought this afternoon might be like a normal weekend shopping day, but it was much worse than that. The stoplight at 100th & University by Valley West was backed up for at least a block in all directions around 2pm.

    I went out this afternoon to Merle Hay Mall and a few places in WDM, and everything was packed. I wasn't sure if people were rushing before the storm or if this was just the regular holiday crowd.

    Zambrano for Cabrera or Gardner? No way. I'll drive down to Chicago and personally beat Hendry if he makes that trade. That deal maybe makes sense if the Yankees throw in Hughes and Chamberlain.

    I got an Atari 2600 in '86 I think. I really wanted the far superior NES that year, but I still played the Atari to death. I had a sore thumb from playing Joust all day that Christmas.

    If you say the dog attacked you or the kids, I would think the authorities would have to do something. Even if you claim it only attacked your dog, I'd think they'd still do something. That wouldn't be too far from the truth from the description. Other than that, I'd trap it on my property...

    Uh, no. Illinois prep basketball is much better than Iowa prep basketball. Just look at the number of D1 prospects each state produces.

    I just saw the replay. Butler won on a layup, so the officials must have concluded that the clock should've run out after the ball left the BU player's hands, but before it went through the hoop. That maybe .5 sec? No way the refs should've been able to (or even tried to) measure the clock...

    I didn't see it, but that sounds like some of the shadiest officiating ever. Since the time keepers screwed up, they should've left the clock alone at the end of the game.

    Bradley isn't exactly an everyday player. He's almost a lock to be injured for at least a fourth of the games, and he hit .234 against righties last year.

    Silva is recovering from injury, and he's switching leagues, so there's a couple of reasons to hope he's better in 2010. And if he still sucks, they can cut him and still come out ahead compared to Bradley.

    The best fact from that story is the Cubs sent Bradley home, and he didn't appeal. They didn't want him around, and he didn't want to be around. Bradley had to go, and getting anything out of him is a bonus. If Silva can make 25+ starts, average 6 innings per start, and keep his ERA under 5...

    Bradley is horribly inconsistent. If Bradley plays like they did against Illinois, they'll give ISU trouble. I don't think they can play that well for a whole game again, though, and ISU should beat them comfortably.
