    ESPN top 100

When that starts mattering and determines wins and losses, then I will start paying attention. Why is everyone so obsessed with rankings of high school athletes?

Dedric Willoughby's comments after watching Cyclone's practice!

Facebook comment: "Watched an ISU Bball practice {Nat'l Champs, I think!}, met and worked a camp with Harrison Barnes{#1 Player in the Country}, coached some 4th graders in a 3 on 3 tournament { future stars!}, hanging out everyday with Chris Ihle and his kids { my new adopted family}...

Royce playing the point at practice

I would think with the shooters that we could put on the court, teams would be very hesitant to zone the Cyclones up. Then once again, who knows! :v_SPIN:

NFL: A-Rob pushes McNabb for starting position

Don't all NFL players pass the "eye test."

Maybe a wildcat type of Qb? LOL

    Top Target for 2012?

Negus Webster- Chan- I vistited with him the other day and he told me that he would like to get a visit to Ames, but he said it sounds like the Cyclones have lost interest in him. Melvin Ejim and him are really close friends and they talk to each other very frequently. He laso mentioned he would...

Italy practice underway, Hoiberg talks lineups

Everyone is in love with Sledge because hs speed and quickness. I have only watched him twice, but both times he was sub-par to Palo in my opinion. The one time I watched him play against Palo. Defenders right now can lay off him 8 feet and help in the post, he is not an outside threat and I...

    Royce at the 3

Sorry this is not NBA 2K11. Please put the controller down for a minute.

Italy practice underway, Hoiberg talks lineups

I skimmed through that article, but I find it interesting that he did not menion Railey or Palo. I think Palo has a chance to play as many minutes as Sledge this year, especially early in the year.

    Royce at the 3

Yeah, basically I got that too. He has the ability to play the three with his handles and passing skills. Some people are just going crazy about poisitions.

    Anthony Booker

I have been reading a lot of on-line article, posts on the message boards etc. No one is hardly even mentioning Mr. Booker? I think he will find himself playing a bulk of the minutes by season's end. I think he brings toughness and the ability to bang, somethign Ejim doesn't really have...

Higher NBA Draft Pick Royce or HB?

NBA is more concerned with a player's wingspan than height. They want players that can rebound over some one, block shots etc. In my opinion, Royce most certianly needs to trim 10-15 lbs. before the start of the season.

No worries, Georges Niang is a Cyclone

After watching Gibson play in the Capital City League, he is at least 2 years away from giving us quality minutes. However, I do love his big frame and his left hand. He had a very difficult time playing post defense against undersize players in the CCL. I already think Niang is more college...

No worries, Georges Niang is a Cyclone

Wow, I have never seen a high school kid use either hand like he can. I'm very excited that he will be coming to Ames. I give Fred a lot of credit for going out before everyone else and knocking on the door. This guy is humble, plays with a passion, and is only going to get better. The...

    '12/ '13 Recruit List

Samuel is blowing up out East right now. He has good size for the point guard position, almost 6'4'' and still growing. I do like how he mentioned Iowa State was one of his favorites. Hope we can land this kid!

    ISU offers Jaylen Brantley

I couldn't agree more. Don't get me wrong, the kid has some huge upside, but thought he would be a little more polsihed on the offensive end. He is already an excellent defender, with a great ability to block people with his raw athleticism and long arms.

    The Arena Pulse: Georges Niang

Keep dreaming.. he can choose any college basketball program. He will not be picking Ames, IA.
