    Bowl Situation Thread

Oklahoma Harris - 10th USA - 11th Computer - 5th TCU Harris - 17th USA - 17th Computer - 18th Computer isn't going to ding Oklahoma hardly at all (I believe they don't factor margin of victory). You'd need to see Oklahoma drop 2-3 spots below TCU in the Harris and USA today to push...

    Exactly. Not gonna happen.

    Bowl Situation Thread

We were only getting 1 BCS team that year no matter what. No Big 12 bowl is going to pick their team until they know who is in and out of the BCS games.

Big XII - 2 in BCS??

There's no way pollsters will jump #5 OSU over #2 Alabama. Even if they win 80-0

rivals account ? starting it out

When I started my Rivals membership I didn't donate at all to ISU. Being a member of that board made me see how far ISU is behind the other schools in revenue and got me lots more excited and a much bigger fan of the program. I have become a donor...and would argue that ISU actually makes more...

rivals account ? starting it out

I love Rivals for the stories and player profiles....second to none as far as that is concerned. Gotta disagree about getting most of the information from the CF board....although every once in awhile a CF link is provided. A lot less off-topic stuff too if you don't wanna sift through all...

Going to Valencia, Spain for two months- any tips?

It's hotter than blazes there in the summer (even though you will be on the sea). I did an internship for my graduate program in Barcelona for 3 months this past summer. I packed two ISU hoodies for wearing around town at night and for cooler days. Well it turns on those never came out of the...

    Gas $1.59 a Gallon - Why?

Demand does not have to quadruple for prices to quadruple. The poster was correct in stating that gasoline is an inelastic good...no matter how high the price goes...some portion of the population still will buy it. It isn't perfectly inelastic.....so prices going higher can hurt demand (which...

Another piece of American history - GONE

Complain all you want...we can make everything here in the US if you want. However prices for almost everything would skyrocket and the economy would be far worse off.

Another piece of American history - GONE

Of course not...but in a free market the consumer (as a whole) is always better off. The total yearly cost savings of consumers will be larger than the total income lost by these 200 people who lost their jobs. Not a pareto efficiency, but an overall efficiency for sure.
