    One Week Away!

I work evenings and get off at 2:30am the night before the game. So, I plan to come home and get a few hours of sleep and then get on the road in the morning for the 3.5 hour drive to Ames. Check into our hotel, feed the baby, change a diaper or two then drive to the stadium. Park, walk...

    Attendance for NDSU

Although I do realize there are more important things in life than football, I don't understand people who are saying they will not use a Vacation day for a Cyclones game. Give me a break! ISU plays only 12 games per year, 14 max. if we were to play in the Big 12 Championship and a bowl game...

    Thoughts on thursday night game

I love the Thursday night game. I have a 4 day work week so, I'm always off on Fridays anyhow. With the Monday holiday, by taking off Thursday to drive to Ames for the game I get a 5-day weekend!

    Fanfest

We just got home from FanFest. We thought it was a wonderful experience. Got there about noon so, when the doors opened at 1pm, we were about 4th or 5th in line. Everyone from the athletes to the staff was enagaging and seemed to be enjoying themselves. My stepson particularly liked Cy, the...

MLB: Earl Weaver and the Orioles

Thanks for the heads-up. Growing up in Boston, I was (of course) a Red Sox fan but always respected and liked Earl Weaver and the Orioles. They were a premier franchise and he is one of the all-time great managers. Not only did he have a brilliant baseball mind but he was also extremely...

    KC Hotels filling up fast

If you have trouble finding a hotel in KC, look into Independence. That's where I live. Arrowhead is right near the KC/Independence line. Noland Road has several hotels (some nicer than others, avoid the American Inn!) and is less than 10 minutes from the stadium. Plus there is a lot of...

Kansas City Star - Position Rankings

Briscoe ranked ahead of Dez Bryant for WRs? What?! I read the Star daily so I know they are big KU supporters (which annoys the heck out of me) but, c'mon!

    Royals Fans

I think that Moore will have next season and that might be it for him. People like to talk about $$ but, as some of you have pointed out, the Royals have spent a lot of money this season. In the past, that certainly was not the case. It is up to Moore to start spending that money wisely...

    Missouri 2009 Season Predictions

I predict a 5-7 season. They have some significant changes on offense that won't be able to make up for their poor defense like they have the past couple of seasons.

    Fox Sports Preview

My wife recorded it for me last night while I was at work and we just watched it. Overall, we liked it. It was pretty silly to show the interception vs. K-State from last year as a "highlight" but, I liked the interview with Coach Rhoads and the general optimism of the analysts.

Where are the bulk of Cyclone fans

Not us, we just drove out to Arrowhead and bought them directly from their ticket office! We only live about 15 minutes away so it was convenient to avoid any service and mailing charges.

    Let's not BOOO Army

haha I think it's because I grew up in Boston and saw far too much of the opposite. Too many fans up there get more joy out of booing the Yankees, Canadiens, Lakers, etc. than they get out of cheering for the Sox, Bruins and Celtics! I always thought that was kind of ridiculous and went they...
