    Agreed, Football is the 800 pound Gorilla in that scenario. While I have confidence in Chizk, the football hire will be the one that could make or break Pollard. With that said, if he gets the stadiums expanded and the bball teams wins big, he will be a top AD in the country.

    I think many folks are forgetting the 1-10 years of Iowa State Football. Relevance to me means that we are at least a factor. While I loved Troy Davis, I would rather have a winning football team. Granted we didnt win much this year or the past few, but McCarney got us over the hump.

    I cannot pigeonhole the coach with ant of those traits. On one, I would lean towards big name, regardless of NFL or College experience. On the others, I would want a well rounded coach to come in. All aspects are equally important. Good Post though!

    While agree that he has obviosly improved Central Michigan, is he going to improve a D-1 team that is on the cusp (I have to use that somewhat loosely, we are ISU) I would like to see him improve a school like a Baylor, and make them decent, then give him a chance to take a team to the next level.

    I would love to see Kelly go to MSU. He could win here, but he would top out at a DMac level. I see Harbaugh as winning as much as DMac, with the chance that he could win bigger.

    No one is completely clean. I would be very disappointed if we passed on Harbaugh because of a past DUI. Obviously, no one condones it, but we can’t disqualify based upon this one incident. Bring on Harbaugh!
