Player of the Week for someone who gets ejected?

I'm just curious what people's thoughts are regarding Big 12 player of the week. On stats alone, I'd think Kane or Ejim might be good candidates this week. But, I wonder if the Big 12 takes into consideration the other things in the game. Mainly, I'm wondering if the ejection (Kane) and bird...

    I HATE Tyler Sash...

Given that I'm from Oskaloosa, where Sash grew up, you'll never hear me criticize him. He was a great role model in high school for the younger kids in town and I was extremely sad he didn't choose the Clones. Classy, classy young man.

    Message from CPR

For those who haven't got it downloaded, it was pretty sweet. Worth the wait. I liked the personalization of it all. Once you watch it (and answer your phone) you'll know what I mean. :-)

    Electric Shock

I'd suggest keeping the fire extinguisher handy too. If the couch is conducting electricity it could easily start a fire.

    Gilstrap

I agree that Gilstrap is what we are missing this year, but wonder who our replacement is for Brackins whenever he leaves. If he's back next year, like we all hope, we'll have a solid core and a couple nice additions to add to the mix. However, the year after, do we have a good prospect/player...

Leonard Johnson named to the FWAA Freshman All-American Team

Just to clarify, but Tyler Sash is a redshirt freshmen. I sure would have enjoyed seeing him at Iowa State. He was quite the athlete in high school.

    Identifying future criminals

What does law enforcement do today? I'm wondering if they don't already do some form of tracking. I mean, if an officer is investigating a case where someone TPs a house or someone breaks into the local toy store, who would they look at first? I'd think they'd instantly narrow it down to...

    Identifying future criminals

No. If this was going to be implemented they'd have to leave Sam and Steve out of it. They'd have to resort to other methods of tracking down the criminal. The more I think about this, what difference would it make if they had a DNA sample on everyone? That wouldn't discriminate against...

    Identifying future criminals

I'm not saying there aren't privacy issues with it, but I think it could be implemented so that only law enforcement has access to the information. To me, this information would be used something like this... - Bob, a bad bad boy, has had a history of bringing weapons to school, hurting...

    Identifying future criminals

If they were going to try and do this, they'd have to have some sort of guidelines. A 5 year-old pushing down another on the playground wouldn't count. If that 5-year old continues to pushing down kids for a number of years, then wouldn't he be a higher risk kid for crime? The main kids that...

    Identifying future criminals

Jumping back to the original post, I think this an interesting idea. I doubt parents would go for it, but it makes sense to me somewhat. I mean, can't you typically tell which kids are more likely to commit crimes by middle-school / high-school? Obviously anyone can commit some crime, but it...

    Teacher's salaries

I think we need to give a shout out to those teachers whose goal in becoming teachers was to improve the education of kids. Teachers are stuck having to deal with some difficult things these days: - "No Child Left Behind" policy which mandates curriculum decisions - difficulty in getting...

    Staggs

Staggs likely chose IA over ISU's preferred walk-on spot as his teammate from last year, Tyler Sash, has a scholarship at Iowa. Stagg's a good kid from a good family. I wish him the best at Iowa.

    Another article on Eikmeier's team

They might as well have. I suppose I could have put band-aids over them to protect them during games. But darn, that would have hurt just as much in pulling them off.

    Another article on Eikmeier's team

If he's like I was, he wears a T-shirt underneath his jersey to protect his chest. Those jerseys are abrasive as heck to sensitive spots on your chest. They might as well be made of sandpaper.

    Top 5 Sports movies

Re: Top 5 Spots movies Of true sports movies, I'd have to say: 1. Hoosiers 2. Rudy - too bad it takes place in Notre Dame and not ISU 3. Natural 4. Field of Dreams 5. Invincible 6. Radio 7. Glory Road There are some other movies I like, but don't quite consider them sports movies, such as...

    Best All-Time Runningbacks

I found the thread on top ISU QBs interesting. I think it would be interesting to do that at other positions as well. Running back is pretty easy at the top with Troy Davis. Who comes after that? Blaise Bryant, Dwayne Crutchfield, Dexter Green, ...
