    Isn't Fred a threat? There is talk of Hunter perhaps being a one and done. If not, I can't imagine Hunter being more than a two year player. Not a whole lot of overlap.

    I don't think so. I think once the hire is a few days old, even the hardest core against the hire will fall in line. However, I don't think that some will be very forgiving if TJ struggles, especially after the first year.

    I thought ISU was high on Lipsey's list with the previous regime. Did you get a sense that wasn't the case and TJ's hire has put us back in good standing or was it a cooling because he didn't know who the next hire would be?

    I agree with this post. I think many fans are going to look for a faster turnaround because of Otz's friendship with JP.

    I really hope that TJ is wildly successful, but have we really dropped to the level that anything that is better than Prohm is acceptable?

    They're results, nationally, are similar, but they do have some fertile recruiting ground that Nebraska football could only hope to have. A return to glory for UNLV basketball is much more likely than for Nebraska football.

    You're correct in that it probably won't take too long. Fans are concerned now after an 0 fer in the conference about how attractive the ISU job is, I think it would ease a lot of fans' minds if they knew JP was getting favorable responses to inquiries.

He doesn't have to name names or anything, just a sentence like I have been overwhelmed by the interest that coaches from around the country have shown in our open coaching position.     I don't think that it is naive to believe JP. But JP does want to control how this entire process is viewed. Some information may come out in the future that wasn't known, but JP is going to set the narrative for how the process is viewed in its current state.

    I'm not making a distinction whether what he said is good or bad. But when he is saying he is the only person to believe, that is pretty tight control of the process.
