If UVa shoots well, they are hard to beat, regardless of how well the other team plays. If they do not, you still have to play well to beat a Tony Bennett team. They are like Cal, with a better big man. Worst case scenario for ISU was for UVa to lose tonight. I expect them to be in Minn form...

    Webster-Chan commits to Louisville

I bet he end up at Creighton, unless Creighton fills up, then maybe Iowa or NU.

If you are getting beat is a problem, than you are taking too many. Not too mention the majority of the break-downs are not due to risks. If JVB can do it, Hamilton could as well (although Ham has to run further than the 3-point line).

Yeah, but not every big guy has to deal with the poor rotations and a 6-5 210 power forward like JVB has to. Plus, it does not change the fact that the real problem on many of JVB's fouls, are on the team, not JVB. Correct the problem, not a consequence of it.

Larry Brown resigns as Charlotte coach

I look forward to 2014, HB, Paige, Jok, etc playing for The Mayor, who has Larry Brown, Tim Floyd, and Larry Bird on staff.

This is not WBB. There is parity. Last year ISU lost 11 games by an average of under 5 points a game. You do not need to add a great player to make a difference- adding Hamilton effectively covers our biggest hole.

A realistic look at our 11-2 record

Yeah, and if that was the case he would have sat on the bench with Railey. More likely, we would not have let Brommer and Wasabe (sp?) go off for career nights, not need Scotty to shoot so much, and not been as close at the end (up by 10+ instead of 6). He would do nothing but improve the team's...

I agree with that. He makes a bad situation worse. However, he is still the fall guy a lot of times.

Let me guess, WBB? Rude awakening? Please. That supports the reason why Hamilton would make a big difference. I think we win 4 to 5 conference games, close in a few others. With Hamilton we win 7 to 9 conference games.

Because we didn't, and with Hamilton, those games would not have been close, especially the Iowa game. It is logical to think adding a player that is not redundant will make you better- it is illogical to think adding such a player will make you worse.

Who says we have? NCAA teams have close games with bad teams, sometimes even lose. Furthermore, with Hamilton, we would not have had 4 close games, and we not have lost two of those. 10 Big 12 games? Where did you get that? 15 + 9 = 24. With Hamilton we most certainly would have a chance...

Re-watch the games. JVB picks up cheap fouls because of his teammates defense.
