    Your greatest athletic accomplishment?

Won two NCAA Division III track and field National Championship trophies.

    Osborne?

You are right. It didn't factor into the decision at all. Nebraska wanted to join the Big 10 back in 1992 when it had a pretty good handle on the Big 8. This is all about moving up to a better conference, not running away from Texas or the Big 12 South. It's not like the Big 10 is going to be...

    Osborne?

Nebraska is in no way running away from Texas. This is the most tired argument/excuse out there. It just isn't true. Every school, with obviously the exception of Notre Dame, within the geographic footprint of the Big 10 would jump at the opportunity to go. Yet, when Nebraska does they are seen...

    Quarterbacks

Yep. Already enrolled. He doesn't have to sit out a year either since he already graduated. I hope Arnaud has a good year for you guys. He seems like a pretty good dude. I just don't think he's that good. A solid runner with poor decision making skills, in my opinion. Some of that decision...

    Osborne?

The statement about thugs is wrong. My father-in-law played at Nebraska under Bob Devaney. Trust me, players had run ins with the law back then. The media was just a completely different animal back in the 60's and 70's.

    Osborne?

I won't disagree with any of that. I think Nebraska may one day contend for a national title, but not on a regular basis like they did in the past. They will never get back to the level of success they had from the 1970-2000. Then again, will anybody?

    Osborne?

People who think this should just keep their mouth shut. They no nothing about all that Tom Osborne has done. Yes, Nebraska had their fair share of thugs during the Osborne years, but he changed way more lives in a positive way, including guys who use to be "thugs." You can disagree with how...

    Osborne?

Not trying to bash you here, but do you know how he handled the situation? How many games was he suspended for? The only reason I ask is because most people aren't aware of how the situation was handled.

    Osborne?

Seriously? You could make an argument that Devaney was a better coach, but that would be a stretch. Fact is, Tom Osborne was a great football coach. 25 years of success don't lie.

    Hiking Shoes

Check sierratradingpost.com. They often have very good deals on stuff. It's usually stuff from the past year or season so it's marked down considerably. My personal opinions is to stay away from Merrell's. They look cool and are affordable, but the soles wear out quickly and they often break...

    Division Champs

Champ is determined by overall conference record. I believe a teams divisional record is the first tiebreaker though.

    Nebraska, really lightened up schedule!!

Props to OU and CU for those schedules. ISU is pretty good too. But, man, the rest of the conference is pathetic. It would be interesting to see this for all the BCS conferences. I'm sure it's out there, I'm just too lazy to look it up today.

    BIG XII QB Rankings

Agree, and with the other guy talking about the top talent. Gabbert and Johnson are very, very good (man, how I wish Gabbet hadn't decommitted from Nebraska). Landry Jones, Griffin and Gilbert could be very good, but are still a little unproven. The Texas Tech guys are both probably next and...

    BIG XII QB Rankings

I thought the list was pretty fair too. The difference between QB play in the league last year to this coming season is night and day. Before I looked on the list I thought to myself, Zac Lee has got to be ranked last or second to last. Then I started to think about it, and sadly for the...

    Nebraska, really lightened up schedule!!

This would be incorrect. The only major schedule change I recall is when TCU backed out of a game in Lincoln about 10 years ago before they turned the corner.

    Nebraska, really lightened up schedule!!

When Nebraska played USC, Notre Dame, Penn State, etc...those games were all scheduled by Bill Byrne. Pederson did set up the games agains UCLA, Tennessee, and Miami I believer. My problem with Pederson is the rest of the games. Granted, those are getting tougher and tougher to schedule because...

    Nebraska, really lightened up schedule!!

They actually play UCLA (2012 and 2013) after the UW seriers, then Miami in 2014 and 15, and Tennessee in 2016 and 17.

    Nebraska, really lightened up schedule!!

This is one of the reasons, overlooked by the national media and fans outside of Nebraska, that Nebraska fans were so sick and tired of the Steve Pederson/Bill Callahan era. Pederson, on Callahan's request, built Nebraskas schedule to be one tough team (Washington was scheduled years ago) and 3...

David Sims Gets Some Love From Husker Locker

I follow Nebraska recruiting very closely and I never remember David Sims committing to Nebraska. They have had guys decommit before, and I remember all of them. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. I'm surprised he was only a two star guy. Doing a little research, he committed to OU in...

David Sims Gets Some Love From Husker Locker

Actually, Gideon's most famous play was him dropping the easy interception a play or two before Crabtree's touchdown. It was a tipped pass that went right to him, a can of corn, that went right through his arms.
