Who has more running yards Saturday: Nebraska or ISU?

Nebraska averages almost 300 rushing yards a game and Iowa State run defense is rated 99 in the country. 350+ is not out of the question. Having said that, I doubt Nebraska will rush for 350+, especially if Martinez is injured. A few other notes. Eric Martin will be back, but he rarely plays...

    Nebraska Or Iowa?

Nebraska. Then again, they are my favorite team. Seriously though, this is a very intersting dilemma for you guys. I bet the poll would be split about 50-50. If it's worth anything, I cheer for Iowa State when they aren't playing Nebraska, and will even more going forward since they will be...

    How to Beat Nebraska

That is pretty much what it is. The only play one true LB. Eric Hagg is hybrid s/lb, but more of a SS type than LB type. Gomes and Hagg are actually pretty good at run support. What hurt Nebraska on run defense most of the year were the two safeties. They started two new safeties vs. Missouri...

    How to Beat Nebraska

Nebraska will only play one LB (Lavonte David) pretty much the entire game. If they put Shontrelle in the slot with another RB in the game, he will be matched up against a DB, likely DeJon Gomes or Eric Hagg.

    How to Beat Nebraska

I think this is right on. I'm guessing Nebraska will focus primarily on stopping Robinson, Woody, and Johnson. Arnaud will need to have a bid day running the ball. During the Missouri game Nebraska was content letting Gabbert run. This was beause they double Jackson and Moe a lot of the time...

    How to Beat Nebraska

...and Martinez has thrown for almost as many yards (1161 vs 1364) and only 1 less TD (9 vs 10). Iowa State needs to be able to run the ball or it will be a long day for the Cyclone offense.

    Eric Martin suspension

Yep, I'm just as stupid as the national experts who think the Martin suspension was the wrong thing to do. Do you know Eric Martin or know anything about him? I highly doubt it. You are judging him based on what Ed Cunningham was saying during the game. I have watched every Nebraska game...

    Eric Martin suspension

I was talking about Big 12 players, not players across the country. And to the other guys point, this wasn't a hit away from the play. The return man caught the ball on the same side of the field as where the hit took place, and the return man was behind the play when the block took place, so...

    Eric Martin suspension

Here is my quick take, and yes, I am a Nebraska fan. Was there helmet to helmet contact? Yes Was he targeting his head? Possibly, but I don't really think so. I admit, I would probably have a different opinion if it was a player from another team. Was it targeting a "defenseless" player...

Remember when Bo Pelini was going to implode and Chizik was the worst coach ever.

There were many problems with Callahan. Here are just a few. 1. The culture. Hard to explain, but he just didn't really care enough about winning. 2. Practice routine. He didn't develop any players at all. Mainly due to his NFL background. Hardly any contact in practice. The #1s got almost...

    N is for Knowledge

These things are always funny, but you could do one for every fanbase in the country. People would have a heyday at the Iowa State fair doing a video like this.

    Talent / Expectations

I would comment on this but you guys would just accuse me of being a jerk, so I will refrain.

Remember when Bo Pelini was going to implode and Chizik was the worst coach ever.

You can argue that if you want. Pelini is a great football coach and an even better leader. I just hope he stays at Nebraska a very long time.

So, Now That We've Seen Nebraska Murder A Team...

You referring to Nebraska's Zac Taylor? A little bit, but I think Taylor was a better passer and, believe it or not, Coffman is a better runner. Reading some articles this morning it sounds like Snyder is opening up their QB competition again. The Klein kid they brought in the 3rd quarter...

So, Now That We've Seen Nebraska Murder A Team...

That is exactly what Nebraska wants teams to do. The absolute strength of their defense is the secondary. Nebraskas offense if just better all the way around this year, it's not just Martinez. They returned 10 starters on offense, not including Taylor Martinez. Roy Helu is healthy this year...

Does BP leave Nebbieland for LSU after LM?

This. The one job I can see him leaving Nebraska for is Ohio State. As much as it pains me to say it, I couldn't really blame him for that either. There are few places with just as good or better tradition, more money, and just as good of fans as Nebraska, and Ohio State is definitely one of...

OU-NU looking at possible FB series....

My father-in-law played in that game. The stories are pretty great. Nebraska brought down all of their own food, including salt, pepper, butter, etc...because they were worried if they ate local food it might be contaminated. Funny stuff.
