    Texas' Reaction

I guess it's the fact that they're Texans to begin with, compounded by the fact that they won the Nat'l Championship last year. The arrogance is reaching all-time highs.

    Texas' Reaction

HAHAHA. Yeah, that Broyles Award and dominating defenses at Auburn and Texas were just superficial. Thanks for that indepth analysis.

    Texas' Reaction

I like how they're blaming Chizik's interviewing for the ISU job as a possible reason for their losses. Idiots.

Hope Chizik flashes his Nat'l Champ ring while recruiting!

Hopefully he'll be a good enough recruiter that he won't even need to do that. Maybe just use it as icing on the cake when he's really got someone interested.

    A Gene Chizik Offense

I really doubt that Chizik will have much of an answer if he's asked about an offensive scheme for next year. He probably doesn't know a lot about Meyer and Blythe more than what he checked out in preparing for the game this year. And since he doesn't even have an OC yet, that's something that...

    Will yellow helmets be back?

I looked at all those helmets, and they all look either ugly, hideous, or totally outdated. The best by far is the current one, except maybe they could take off the "ISU" part and just leave Cy. That would look better, I think.

    Where now McCarney?

Yeah, i dont think he'd necessarily have to settle for being less than a HC somewhere, it just limits his choices a little more, I would imagine.

    Where now McCarney?

Maybe Alabama, they're in need of a new coach now. And Pollard is not leaving here for anywhere, at least not anytime soon. He just hired a new football coach, and is in the his first year with a new basketball and wrestling coaches. There is no way he would abandon that right away.

    Will yellow helmets be back?

One thing to point out is that a lot of times when teams switch back to older logos and such, it's because they have a successful history that people like to look back on and incorporate into future success. There's not much of that with this football program.

    This might have been answered....but

And he'll have to start assembling a coaching staff as well. Maybe he will step down at Texas entirely. Interesting....

    This might have been answered....but

I would think that he would. I don't think it would interfere with anything for the ISU job, nor be much of a conflict of interests for Texas.

    It's Gene Chizik.

    1) Where are all the anti-Norvell people complaining that they didn't want someone without actual head coaching experience? 2) I almost took a screenshot of the "Introduction of Brian Kelly" ticker at the top because I knew it was going to be wrong, but I didn't. DANG IT.

    Jimmy Johnson?

Forget JJ. How about Burt Reynolds? He has coaching experience, AND he wouldn't take no crap from nobody!

Article in today's Central Michigan Life; their student paper...

Maybe people came to their senses and realized what a ludicrous choice that would be?

a name not mentioned to date

Apparently he is currently a special advisor to the president of Texas A&M

Could the new coach be......STEVE MARIUCCI!!

Speaking as a Chiefs fans, I'd rather cheer for Mizzou/Nebraska/Oklahoma than cheer for another **** Vermeil-led team. :no6xn:

MSU web site says ISU hires Kelly

Well, he's certainly no Jim Harbaugh, who all the kids know. :rolleyes5cz:
  18. dccyclone25

Nervous about Harbaugh - Not me.

You mean you don't necessarily agree with the guy who thinks we should have the same winning attitude as Texas? :wink0st:
  19. dccyclone25

    Please Patterson..........

Patterson works for me. Anyone got his number?

    I agree with that.
