SicEm365 Blows Up The Athletic TV Ratings Article on Big 12 vs Pac 12

TCU was out of the MWC since 2012. ISU obviously would go up since 2017. KSU would obviously improve if 2012 was included. Stanford would fall if it was since 2017.

    Realignment Megathread (All The Moves)

He's a Big Ten homer and will overvalue academics. That criteria is all good when your league is raking in big bucks because of Michigan, Ohio St, Penn St, and Nebraska but a rump Pac12 may not have the dollar value to draw a Big 12 target.

    Big 12 TV Ratings Article

the idea of a full football merger with them makes a ton of sense if the valuations can be worked out. Then add WVU football only but help broker a deal to get their non-fb in the Big East or A10. then add Gonzaga non-fb You’ve added a top hoops brand, cut down travel, still get WV’s football...

    Big 12 TV Ratings Article

Exactly. we have slightly higher payouts for 2-4 years... then they have massively higher payouts. many of the remaining 8 have to be willing to cut a deal.

    Big 12 TV Ratings Article

It's good news for all the remaining 8, except maybe KU. Shows each can average well when they win and shows the group is ahead of the AAC. Fears of dissolving likely unfounded.

Some good stats on the Camping World Bowl

Vegas sets their line at least partially to perception. They want even bets on each side and with only two “helmet schools” that will usually break against the Big 12.

Some good stats on the Camping World Bowl

True but the league has a huge opportunity for that same reason. Went 4-3 in games where they were all underdogs last year. OU losing to Bama, ISU to almost playoff Wazzu, and WVU without Grier were the losses. Went 5-3 in 2017. OU in OT to UGA, TT losing to a good USF team, and WVU without...

    ***Official ISU Bowl Predictions***

If the Big 12 gets a playoff team that probably puts UT in the Alamo and then the camping World would probably pick between KSU, OSU, and ISU instead of taking UT.

    ***Official ISU Bowl Predictions***

Translation: Alamo will want someone else instead of a repeat team. Camping World jumps all over UT or OSU TBD after that

    ***Official ISU Bowl Predictions***

Assuming BU wins and the same scenarios in reverse if OU wins... 1- If BU doesn’t make the playoff there’s two options: A- OU is ranked high enough to get the at-large bid to the Cotton Bowl. This isn’t a pick by the Cotton, it’s purely who’s the highest ranked team after the other NY6 pick...

    ***Official ISU Bowl Predictions***

I think the Big 12 standings then take over- not the playoff rankings. Bu would still go with one fewer league loss and an additional win.

    ***Official ISU Bowl Predictions***

I disagree. 1- Bowls aren’t picking based on standings 2- ISU was there last year and bowls would prefer to not repeat. It’$ make$ more $en$e to get teams who haven’t been there recently and are more likely to go with full travel numbers. 3- With UT, TCU, and OSU available I think they’d pick...
