He moves like he's wearing cement shoes, he needs to lose a ton of weight, he has personal issues. He will be a big gamble for the school that eventually signs him.
OK, ISU has won 8 games total in the last 3 years. I'm all for being optimistic but there's a reason for that record and it's not all coaching related. It's going to take a while to get things turned around, hopefully people are realistic about expectations.
Attendance for all college sports has been falling nationally. I do think being able to watch a game in HD in your living room has had an effect. Attendance for NFL games is in decline, that's a good indicator of where things are heading.
Hard to compare them as they are very different types of players. Cases could be made for both guys. IMHO Uthoff projects better at the next level, he will play in the NBA. Niang will play overseas, which isn't a bad deal at all.
