I think Rhoads has you guys on the right track. Not sure if I can pull for you against a service academy (always feels wrong cheering against them) but I will be cheering you on in your big 12 schedule. I think you could surprise a few teams especially as your offense settles into the new scheme. -

Yeah if it had worked and ISU had scored it could have really put the hawkeyes on their heels. Generally Iowa is not a team that is good playing catch up. -

Now both sides are posting crazy things. I do think Iowa is better than K-State and Colorado right now but we do not have a top 15 defense either. Iowa is not a top 20 or even 30 team right now. -

Per Rhoads Presser: Arnaud Will Start Next Week
Arnaud is a better QB than what he showed on the field today. The kid has had to deal with a good bit of changes over the last few years and he is learning a new scheme. You cannot expect a well oiled machine when it comes to learning a new scheme under different coaches this early in the year. -

Don't do this. Any hawk fan that says they had a good feeling about this game or knew we would win like this is a liar. No reason to be an *** on their board we need to win with class because next year it could be us on the receiving end. -

Onside kick...
It did not work but in some respects I like to see coaching staffs mixing things up and keeping the other side guessing. For better or worse we rarely if ever see anything like that out of our coaches. -

Actually I agree right now we are not very good and we need improvement in more than a few areas before conference play starts. The only thing that gives me some hope is that we tend to steadily improve as the season goes on. I said 7-5 at the start of the season and I still think we can do that. -

I know your offensive scheme changed over. Did your defensive packages get a major overhaul also? it is always hard to tell much from the first game though. Our running game became a question mark for us of course but hopefully if our line is good enough we will still have enough of a running... -

This is a instate rivalry so it should be important to both teams for bragging rights and recruiting etc. I hate losing to the Gophers and Badgers more than you guys but after those two it is ISU. Anyone from either side that does not believe this is in the top three games every year for both... -

I think you guys are going to be better than many writers are giving you credit for especially on offense. That being said from a writers view that does not have any emotional investment I can see why they would expect the trend to continue especially when you factor in new coaches and systems...
