    I am also laughing that most of the current roster names being thrown out as potential draft picks haven't played a down. The guys we've actually seen play ... forget about it.

    If I am counting correctly ... we would really have 7 guys competing for playing time for roughly 3 and a half spots on the court assuming we play small most of the time - Jackson, Babb, Wigginton, McNeil, Long, Lewis, and hopefully Brown. There are potentially minutes for everyone...

    I don't care that they're Hawkeyes. My concern would be that there's not much variability in style or weight -- weren't they all basically grinders? The sport appears to be moving away from that. Maybe DSJ was more of a technician. Reader would be at the very top of my list by a fair distance.

    Grayer was the best player we've had since I started watching in the Lynn Nance days. Best scorer I've seen, arguably the best rebounder and defender as well. He could do it all.

    I was referring to discussion outside the ISU community, the subject of the OP. I'm fully aware that ISU fans will never tire of patting themselves on the back for their own awesomeness.
