    Martinez has pitched very well for them since Hicks went down. I hope Martinez earns his way back to the rotation next year with Gallegos or Brebbia as the closer. A lot easier to find relievers than starters.

    Iowa made the plays they needed, ISU did not. Iowa hardly played a perfect game.

    Lack of turnovers

    it’s not about bounces. It’s about catching the ball when it’s in your hands. Do it, ISU wins. Don’t do it, ISU loses. Most of our games will be won/lost on a few plays this year. ISU is not blowing out anyone.

    ISU is not bad, but they’re mistake prone. So they need to make fewer mistakes or get talent to overcome those mistakes or they will continue to lose these close games.

    no. Iowa had 5 scoring drives. ISU had 3. Same as the WSU and UNI games. At some point, critical Turnovers and penalties just become your identity.
