Possibilites for new WR & Secondary coaches

Nick Linder is another strong possibility and possibly one that Elliott might suggest himself having worked as a GA under Elliott at San Diego State and being a former ISU player.

SCC kicks 10 players off MBB team

I actually know the guy that runs the men's basketball dorms down there...he had always said they were complete thugs so I guess that claim is substantiated. I am sure he will enjoy his time much more down there now that he only has two players on his floor.

    Boundary Waters

I did the same trip in late May, early June. Started at Moose Lake and worked our way around to Ensign Lake. Moose Lake is full of motor boats and Ensign Lake is packed. It is an overall good trip but if you are looking to be a little more secluded it isn't the right trip. We didn't have any...

chiziks first class was nearly a complete bust

I think it is hard to tell from a first class...the second class is the true test of things to come. I will say though Rhoads first class has definitely been better without a doubt with Klein, Knott, Lenz, Reeves, Reynolds, Sims and Lattimer plus a host of guys that should make an impact...

chiziks first class was nearly a complete bust

I will give the Chiz some credit. In his second recruiting class 13 of 25 players currently find themselves in our two deeps...in addition Banks had an impact...Schwartz was good before he transferred...Haughton was a stud before he flunked out...and we still have Zach Guyer...so 14 of 25...

    Jamie Pollard talks facilities/south endzone

Jamie has devoted how much money to Jack Trice over the last few years...he has done worlds to the stadium. Now it is time to focus on the other sports and get them a little more competitive. The one thing I have always respected about Jamie is that he understands how important it is to keep the...

    Jamie Pollard talks facilities/south endzone

In regards to the new rec facility, I think he was talking about the new State Gym facility not getting a new pool. Though I thought it was supposed to and it really should. Well hopefully it gets done. Really if we were smart we wouldn't have put anything on Elwood/University. Hindsight is...

    Jamie Pollard talks facilities/south endzone

Jamie has a point. We need other things far more than we need the south end zone bowled in right now! The improvements that have been made on Jack Trice were the things that were most pressing. Next, the locker room and office facilities are important. And then the other sports. The south end...

    Napier, really Blaylock's younger brother?

They aren't from the same mother...Shabazz' mom is Carmen Velasquez and Will's mom is Sheila Blalock...

    Napier, really Blaylock's younger brother?

Sounds like they refer to eachother as "brothers". Will was a guardian and mentor for Shabazz who took him under his wing. Really cool story and says a lot about Will...

Royce White- The Wait Is Over

It will be exciting to see what he brings...but my excitement is tempered for now. I am probably more excited to see what Chris Allen and Chris Babb can bring given their previous records in a highly competitive league. I expect to see a lot of freshman moments with White next season since he...

ISU Basketball will put the POWER back in power forward next year!

Great point...replacing Diante is going to be the biggest task Fred has...it will be interesting to see how "ready" Tyrus McGee, Anthony Odunsi and Tavon Sledge are...I love the potential of the line-up but that is all it is...potential. I will say I haven't been as excited about "potential"...

ISU Basketball will put the POWER back in power forward next year!

I agree that it is entirely too early to crown this group THE BEST! We have had some very talented front courts. Also, the two guys who played basketball this season in that group averaged a combined eight points a game and seven rebounds. I will be the first to admit Godfrey has a ton of upside...

    Indian Hills recruits?

True...but we hired a JUCO assistant and he has turned out to be the recruiter we have...not saying that we didn't hire him originally for a player though i.e. Mike Taylor but Otz has definitely worked out for the best.

    Shane Power

Shane was one of my favorite players to watch. He now does a lot of the color for basketball games on Comcast Sports Southeast, or at least he did for the past two seasons. He worked several Memphis games while I worked down there. It was very weird seeing him but he is awesome.

38th Most Painful Loss in College Football History...

Culbertson was the best and only option for 2004. You are right, he did okay. He came in and stopped the bleeding in the Colorado game after Jansen was atrocious. Considering Culbertson was a walk-on in the true sense of the word that assumed the duties quickly after Jansen flamed out.

    Craig Brackins post draft interview

In the end things didn't turn out too bad for Craig! He could have potentially been a lottery pick around 11, 12 or 13 in 2009 or been right around where he ended up getting drafted tonight. So it is really great to see everything turn out alright for a great Cyclone. Thanks for three years...
