    ***** Official Post Game thread*****

Re: Post Game thread It is the same thing the whole season. Start out the game slow or start out the second half slow. Scoring drought for 5-8 minutes in one half or the other. Fold down the stretch in close games. How many teams do you watch that can't even get the ball in at the end of...

The Breakdown: Iowa State @ Kansas

Would make a big difference to me. I am still hoping McDermott succeeds, although my doubts are substantial. A win over KU at Allen Fieldhouse would be, in my opinion, the win that just might propel him in the right direction and get rid of the dark cloud that has been hanging over his...

    Colvin Tonight

I was going to make a post that I thought Colvin was really bad tonight. Forced shots (nothing new) and some pretty bad defense. And I remember one play in particular that he got the ball poked away from behind, and appeared to make ZERO effort to get back on defense. I don't like the way he...

Pererson gets in a dig at DG

Guess I am equally tired of the DG haters that don't seem to understand that basketball is a team game, or even consider the possibility that the kid could use some help at the 2 guard. Oh, and you might want to go back and check the highlights on Holloway. I think your memory of his shooting...

Pererson gets in a dig at DG

Give Garrett an above average running mate at the two guard and then we can talk. Staiger was as one dimensional as it gets and had ZERO ability to do anything other than spot up shoot. Christopherson is a little better, but still has limitations. Blalock/Stinson Tinsley/Horton...

How many would have wanted Orr replaced after 4 years

I am not even talking about a buyout, or insisting that he be fired. I like the guy and want him to succeed. I would be ok if he made the NIT this year, but at this point that seems like a long shot. As tough as the Big 12 is this year, I probably would have been ok with simply being...

How many would have wanted Orr replaced after 4 years

So, when do you simply acknowledge that McDermott just can't get it done in the Big 12? This is the first year that I have started having that belief.

    Carolina getting beat AGAIN

Wow. Borderline unbelievable what has happened to UNC. Down by 25 points to Maryland? That team appears to have completely quit on Roy Boy. Absolutely hilarious. With their recruiting class though, I am sure next season they will be battling for a title again.

How many would have wanted Orr replaced after 4 years

Tough to argue with any of that. Floyd proved he could coach and recruit. Eustachy proved he could coach (recruiting was questionable). Morgan could recruit, coaching was questionable. McDermott has not shown an ability to do either at a level that is even middle of the pack in the Big 12...

    What happened to Texas???

Their free throw shooting is worse than Iowa State's. I think they shot something like 10-28 from the line today.

***Official KSU at ISU POSTGAME THREAD***

Couldn't agree with you more. I just don't understand this team.....and its inability to play a 40 minute game. I just don't buy the short bench excuse either....there are team's that don't go any deeper that are very successful (watched Georgetown smoke Villanova today, and they play 7 or 8)...

    Hindsight on candidates from '06

The 3/4 court press appears to have a main goal of slowing down the other team, not upping the tempo or forcing turnovers. They rarely if ever try to trap someone with the ball or go for any steals. And I just don't buy the depth issue. How deep did the Fizer/Tinsley team go? Fizer, Johnson...

A little coolaid for our weary hearts.

My frustration is not solely based on wins/losses. First and foremost is how badly they lose to teams -- 23 points to KU at home (Colorado takes them into OT without one of their best players), 21 to Baylor (after only being down 4 at half), 20+ to a Cal team that was struggling and hurt, 20+...

    Huge Win/Official Post Game Thread

No. I think this team wins one, maybe two more games this season. Probably Nebraska at home. Think they sneak one other at home against someone, not sure who. 4-12 in the conference, tied with Nebraska for last place. Get the 11th seed by virtue of two wins over them.

    Huge Win/Official Post Game Thread

Re: Official ISU/CU Postgame Thread. I liked the line up with Garrett and Colvin in at the same time. Two guys that can drive and dish. Especially when Christopherson can't hit anything. Hamilton, Brackins, Gilstrap, Colvin and Garrett. That is the line-up I see starting to get a few...

    Huge Win/Official Post Game Thread

Re: Official ISU/CU Postgame Thread. Glad they won....if for no other reason than it means I can continue reading this board. But, this team has got to have one of the lowest basketball IQ's of any team I have ever seen. Colvin's foul. Christopherson not dribbling AWAY from the defenders...

***Official ISU vs CU Game Thread***

First half summary, pretty similar to a synopsis of the season: 1. Too many unforced turnovers. 2. Too many bad shots. Colvin could be good if he would stop forcing so many bad shots. 3. Brackins not being physical and taking the ball to the basket. Time to start pounding it into Hamilton...

    The official OU/ISU Postgame Thread

My problem is that McDermott did nothing to slow the kid down, other than switch defenders. Why not show him a bunch of different looks? Nobody else on OU's team was going to singlehandedly beat them, like that kid did. Box and one, double him as soon as he gets the ball, maybe rough him up...

    The official OU/ISU Postgame Thread

Actually even worse than that....since Garrett and Christopherson are not the leading scorers for Iowa State. You'd almost have to say letting Colvin and Buckley go off for 60+, with Brackins and Gilstrap unavailable.

    The official OU/ISU Postgame Thread

I don't see how you can help but be VERY concerned about the future. McDermott has to be held accountable for the performance of the team -- and that performance continues to be very poor. Unforced turnovers, numerous defensive lapses.....and not fouling guys early enough down the stretch...
